i hate to see warren going so toxic, now she cant be bernie's VP. she really doesnt even have the bargaining power hillary had when obama won. if anything, that belongs to either pete or amy (if minorities dont save biden). she let her ego get the best of her and the voters dont even rock with her like that
I’m sure you were just about to vote for her too, but now only Bernie.....:o:

He’s the gay Herman Cain. Pete thinks that because he’s one of the first representatives of a minority community, it can mask him being an unimpressive candidate. He thinks he can just show up, be gay, say a few empty platitudes and he’s good. The Obama comparisons are irritating. Obama was on point. On everything. That dude had his Presidential campaign planned decades in advance. Being black was the icing on the cake. If Obama was a white man, he would’ve been the new JFK, America would’ve loved him that much more and he would’ve beat McCain even worse. I don’t even know what Buttigieg’s platform is or why he’s running. If you gonna be the first Gay President, you have to be a genius candidate. Your minority status shouldn’t define you no more than it did for Obama.

For real. Obama had to be as perfect as a human being to even win the nomination. The presidency he had to be like JFK without the scandals and a master oriator. The comparasions are night and day, and in fact, insulting to Obama. Bootyman is empty nonsense that is a gay white male.

Better than the gay boy but he’s too abrasive at times. Seems like he always wants to be right rather than find common ground with others which is why he didn’t make any friends in Washington for decades. It’s not his platform as Warren has many of the same policies. It’s his personality. Biden and Warren are safer picks. Biden is just ten years too old and not as sharp anymore and America is too sexist right now to elect a woman.
Biden has horribly and utterly failed in every presidential election he's ever entered. How is he the safer pick? Why do people believe he won't suck in the general when he sucks in the primaries every single time?

Warren is simply a less inspiring campaigner than Bernie. I'd be fine with either one, but it's clear Bernie has the juice and Warren doesn't. You can't blame the woman thing when women are the majority of primary voters and Klobuchar just doubled her up in New Hampshire. If she can't get off the ground in the primaries, why would she fair better in the general?

Bernie is a Type 1 personality - he cares more about getting shyt right than being liked or getting along. But Type 1 personalities are huge on integrity, and we're at a time in history where people want someone with integrity whether or not he's always compromising and trying to get along with everyone. Bill Clinton was the ultimate compromise candidate who chose popularity over any personal values, and all that got us was a bunch of shytty right-wing legislation and he couldn't even hold onto Congress anyway.

He tries to copy Obama's mannerisms and cadence and voice inflection when giving this speech. It is very eerie.

Well it looks like people can't get enough of it :francis:

But one thing is clear though, nobody wants to hear well thought out policies with multiple steps and statistics.

Smart-dumb shyt is what the people want :manny:

This is the point I was trying to make yesterday morning about means testing vs universal policies. Universal are waaay easier to explain and sell. You can “elevator pitch” a universal program very easily, it’s much more verbose to break down a means tested policy to already low info voters with short attn spans.

:scust: you're better than this.

I'd probably throw in a jab about sending her back to her wigwam if I weren't like most of the idiots in here

Anyways I hope Sanders wins the primary so you all don't decide to stay home and we have to continue pretending we're carrying on some type of accelerationist LARP a la post 2016 election as we see more minorities targeted by the Trump administration and white supremacists. That would be pretty solid, I would like to live in world where Trump is not president and white supremacists are given free reign.

It's best when Bernie's supporters make electability arguments for him

:heh:

That's all for now #bebest

He's the most well-liked of all the candidates.

He's had the best election track record of all the candidates.

He's consistently beating Trump in the polls, to a degree better than all the candidates except Biden.

He's got the broadest support base of all the candidates.

He polls best among independents of all the candidates.

He raises money better than any of the other candidates.

He's the most known quantity and thus the least likely to lose support or have an unknown scandal come up.

Honestly, Bernie's electability arguments are easy as hell to make. The only thing the haters have left is "but socialism!", as if all the people answering those polls don't already know that about Bernie. All the other candidates have weak points that they'll try to hide, deny, or downplay, Bernie's the only candidate whose supposed "weak" point is something he fully embraces and everyone already knows.
