1. Non employer provided healthcare frees people up to leave jobs that don't treat them right, automatically improving mental health and employee bargaining power

2. Accidents won't bankrupt you

These vastly outweigh the 2% of money like 4% of people in America that already have more than enough money are afraid of losing.

who's saying not to ask questions?

Ask away. Write them down. If Bernie wins they'll come into play. If not, who cares. You already have some ideas on how it will get paid for.

Anyway...you and @88m3 got me curious so let's go based off of the chart that as posted in here...

Income of $210K in San Francisco

- $7000 for health insurance

= $123K take home pay

You can get this nice apartment in Presidio for around $4K

Income of $210K in Brooklyn

- $7000 for health insurance

= $119K take home pay

You can get this nice apartment in DUMBO for less that $4K a month.

If the taxes on that website are way off, lmk. But it doesn't seem terrible, tbh.

Also, I contributed 6% to the 401Ks
Factor in student loans because at that bracket they will surpass 1200 a month - that’s why I said he better forgive loans with that shyt or people will be hot. Also, factor in savings and planning (school fees, etc.). I pay 160 a month for healthcare and dental. You’re asking me to pay 400 dollars more per month.

The Student Loans is big. But, as we know, he plans to forgive that too.

What I posted already included putting $12,600 into the 401K.

10K a month of income - $1200 for student loans - $4000 for rent is still almost $5000 left for food, and bills

according to who? and is this in every city?

@OfTheCross yes, there are other bills - especially if you're not a renter. and to be honest, at that income you're trying to invest & save for other items/life events. but again, the ask is for someone like me who spends $750/yr on health to pay $7000, you can make it seem insignificant re: income, but anyone who has a cost in their life that increases 10-13 fold and they're not actively doing anything to cause that, that's a no sell. but yea, if that's the tradeoff for student loan forgiveness, i'm in, but i don't honestly believe he's going to do that - i sure hope so tho!

Because the current system isn’t working for or covering the disenfranchised so the upper class is gonna pay more.
how is that a sound argument to those you're asking for more from? i think a good chunk of black people who are doing well would heed that point as we know that collectively our people fall behind and there is some general racial solidarity, but white people don't feel that solidarity in regards to lifting up the bottom (now white supremacy, then yea) and asians are generally doing well across the board, so how do you see that as a influential argument in a society that values "bootstraps!"

It isn’t meant to be an argument, it’s just how the plan is going to be carried out. It’s not something to be convinced about, just like past bailouts we paid for without being convinced, except this method is popular.
