The people in this country don't take third party candidates seriously. It's a shame and it should change, but it's the way it is. Also we're too far into the primaries for him to suddenly switch from democratic to independent. It simply would not work.

I don’t see how running with the party that allegedly rigged things against you 4 years ago and is currently doing so now strengthens your ideological argument as a candidate but I’m also not hypnotized by politicians so maybe that’s the hinge point where we will differ

No it wouldn't have. In 2016 running independent would have turned him into a fringe candidate. If you're worried about the dems fukking him over now, well they really woulda fukked him over if he ran as third party lol.
