Someone did a really good tweet thread on the whole the Russians are aiding Bernie narrative. The Russians are not actively helping Bernard nor do they necessarily favor him:

1. He is at constant odds with the Democratic establishment, he openly challenges them, hes a easy conduit for division within the party. Not to mention his supporters serve the same function among the electorate.

2. He has some historical policies that are fairly soft on Russia. The Russians have no desire for anyone who has been or will be hard on them and potentially increase or add more sanctions.

Per the usual, the American electorate has created the division that the Russians are leveraging and now they are using that against Bernard.
