It is interesting that the active leader in Interceptions is Richard Sherman with 36.
That's way, way down from the all-time lead of 81 by Paul Krause (1964-1979)

It mainly catches my eye because of all the passing that is happening in the league right now. You'd expect to see more guys higher on the INT list.
To be fair, a few recently retired players are up there (Charles Woodson, Ed Reed, Champ Bailey -- all retired within the last 10 years)

I guess I would ask how many of the "elite" DB 's playing today have played as many seasons as those last three you listed at this point in their career? Also, are check downs more prevalent now than even just ten years ago?
