Exactly pistons have had the same opportunity to draft as Orlando Houston and OKC. Theyre jsut not hitting as strongly on their selections and roster transactions.
In Pistons defense Those three teams got draft hauls for trading established stars. Pistons had no resources when they started their rebuild

Which speaks volumes about how poor they are at drafting and player development.

Vucevic became what he was in Orlando wasn‘t a lottery pick and Gordon wasn’t too 3 either.

None of those haul picks have amounted to anything for those teams besides Tari Eason. Those teams have must built their roster better with their picks. OKC and Houston haven’t had a number one pick.

i'm assuming atlanta trades? With all those Trae Rumours this helps their rebuild. Those two top ten spurs picks can help. If Sarr is at the top of the board do you pick him with Capela ingrained as the long term starter? Or you pair them like cleveland did Mobley and Jarrett Allen?

Capela has been in trade talks since last summer. Calling him a long-term starter is a crazy stretch

Supposedly now that that pick shot up, they may call Brooklyn up again to see if they'll swap it for Bridges.

I don't hate the idea as long as the right prospects are sent back. Otherwise, I'd be earmarking Bridges to OKC for Wallace + 12 or Giddey

i was hoping spurs would get top 2 pick to get a chance at sarr

i hate spurs but, two 7'1+ who can defend and dribble and create their own? I want that. i need that

we need something to stop that cac Jokic from dominating the league :scusthov:

neither, but I'm not trading Trae or Murray with the idea of building around Sarr. He's not that kind of player. I don't think there's any way he'll ever live up to being the #1 pick, but can he be a good player? with the right PG, possibly.

First thing I'd investigate is what kind of wing player would be worth swapping the top pick for?

the first name will be Mikal Bridges for everyone.

Jimmy Butler is a nice out of the box possibility but I doubt Atlanta has the stomach to pay him AND they'd want Okongwu or Bufkin

KD makes sense but Phoenix will never go for it.

Simons on paper feels like equal value but the optics would suck. Shaedon Sharpe on the other hand... (I'm starting to love it for both teams).

Michael Porter Jr. is the biggest swing for the fence type of guy to pursue but also the least likely.
