If black people already know who's responsible for what, why does Trump's vote share among the black population keep going up with each election?
He won the popular vote it went up amongst everybody. Black people still voted against him in the greatest numbers. The logic of give the crazy man with the power the gun isn’t flying. Again I’m not even arguing against getting rid of it, I’m saying why in the hell would you specifically want it gone with proudly open white supremacists in charge. The only people immediately suffering are the people that voted against this in the first place. What lesson are you teaching the people that voted against it??

I think the assumed logic in that removing the filibuster and forcing the parties to stand by votes and policies they are pushing through. It would be the thing that finally fires up the apathetic sit out every election people. But, I think that argument loses it's weight in that look at Texas for example. It's noted that a large portion of that state doesn't come out to vote. I think I read something like just over 40% of the voting eligible electorate vote in the state. Yet it's clear with things like their grid failure and other issues. Showcasing the ineffectiveness of Republican rule. Nothing has moved the people to vote them out of power.

Too many people are just effectively comfortable, and I don't know what is the pain point that will finally break them. They look at it as their life has consistently been the same regardless of who is in power. And I'm not sure something like ending the filibuster and allowing minority rule to put their will on the people would bring out a more politically engaged electorate.

I understand the logic of getting rid of it. Specifically choosing to get rid of it under Trump 2.0 I don’t when he and his white nationalists are immediately coming for the people who have no lessons to learn since they didn’t vote for it

All of that can be undone once a democrat gets back in office since most of what he’s doing is through executive order.
False it's damn near impossible to put back everything he removed, it may take decades especially without super majority rule.
