No matter the outcome Trump and Republicans will continue to flank Dems from the left
I mean, "identity politics" is embedded into politics as a whole. Every political party and candidate does it, in some form or another.I have always found the "identity politics" critique hollow, especially in this race, when Talarico explicitly tailored his messaging to Latino voters and suburban whites. That's very much an identity-based appeal, even if it's framed as "broad" or "mainstream."

It's very concerning, its been a thing for about 6-7 years now. These online black people are seriously playing themselves over a person who didn’t respect them enough to tell us her platform until a few weeks ago. They can't tell you a single thing this person accomplished in Congress or what this person believes.
I am troubled that so many people are falling for the cult of personality bullshyt that white people are doing with Trump.
Im think dems could take the senate
No ones hiring
Unemployment is high
Job losses
Highest gas prices since like 2008 coming up soon
Energy prices out of control
ICE out of control
Inflation out of control
Cost of living out of control
Multiple war fronts
Trumps planning to steal elections I can't come up with any legit reason why he would do all this. I made this post in 2022 for biden and I was right. Im going to be right here too
he probably doesn't need to steal anythingNot how it works. That only works with maga voters not independentsI kind of doubt it.
Trump will just blame all the stuff you listed on DEI/immigrants/trans and people will eat it up like alwayshe probably doesn't need to steal anything
Not how it works. That only works with maga voters not independents
Trumps president ? He's the incumbent. That strategy only works when you are not in power. You can't run as a change candidate anti establishment candidate when you're in power destroying the country. Polls agree with my assessment I will be rightIf that was true Trump wouldn't have gotten elected twice. The American public is cooked.

I can. I have. That's what I don't get about this argument. You claim she disrespected voters, while also assuming those same voters are too clueless to know who she is or what she stands for, even though she's been a representative in the same state. These online black people are seriously playing themselves over a person who didn’t respect them enough to tell us her platform until a few weeks ago. Falling for cult personality over policy proposal. Crockett had nothing on her website until a few weeks agoWhat's been a thing? Plainly state what you mean.

And comparing Black voters supporting her to the Trump cult is a stretch. People backing a candidate you don't like isn't automatically a "cult of personality." Sometimes it just means voters made a choice you disagree with.
Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico has vowed to ban super PACs if elected, yet a super PAC called Lone Star Rising PAC funded by dark money groups and Democratic billionaires has spent millions on negative ads against Talarico's primary opponent, Rep. Jasmine Crockett. The super PAC was formed by Talarico's close friend Alexander Clark just a week after Talarico launched his campaign, raising questions about potential coordination.
The Lone Star Rising PAC has deployed nearly $3.7 million in negative ads against Talarico's primary opponent, Rep. Jasmine Crockett, since early February. The super PAC received a $500,000 donation from billionaire Reid Hoffman, who had a relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Other prominent donors to the pro-Talarico super PAC include hedge fund manager Stephen Mandel, Hyatt Hotel heir Adam Pritzker, Eagles drummer Don Henley, former Biden White House official Cristobal Alex, and private equity billionaire Mark Heising.
- Lone Star Rising PAC was formed on September 2, 2025.
- Talarico launched his Senate campaign one week later, on September 9, 2025.
- The super PAC received a $500,000 donation from billionaire Reid Hoffman in late January 2026.
- The super PAC deployed nearly $3.7 million in negative ads against Talarico's opponent since early February 2026.
A super PAC supporting one of the Democratic candidates, James Talarico, reported $6.1 million in contributions from Jan. 1 through Feb. 11. But more than half that came from a political action committee that was entirely funded by a dark money group on its last monthly report.
The pro-Talarico super PAC, Lone Star Rising PAC, disclosed that it got $3.75 million of its money for the period from another super PAC called Government That Works PAC. That group’s report for January showed that it received $4 million from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a leading dark-money hub for Democrats that has previously been associated with Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss and Democratic megadonor George Soros.
