As much as I hate that small hat b*stard Adam Silver, and he's played the biggest part in ruining the league, there's only so much he could do when a chunk of the players in the league don't actually love the game.

They implemented a rule where they can miss 20 percent of their teams' games and still receive regular season accolades, and they STILL complained.

You think they're gonna be interested and hyped up for All-star weekend? As long as they feel like they're above this, there's nothing you can do to fix this

Can’t remember if it was Reddit or IG but someone posted a video of Rosenberg complaining about how NBA ASW isn’t a go to event anymore. The typical mf’s was in the comments was talking about he old and this and that and the athletes are more athletic and skilled (no clue wtf that has to do with all star weekend but whatever).

I remember taking leave from Germany specifically to go to the one in the A in ‘03. shyt was crazy. The Vegas ASW was legendary. I went to the one in 2010 in Dallas and although it was kinda wack cause of the weather, it was still a meetup event. I know DC nikkas who still talk about ASW. Just looked it up but how many times are they gonna have this shyt in LA?

Been telling y'all for years LA ain't the best place for this, but @Jplaya2023 can't watch all-star weekend on his TV if it's in a smaller market one year God forbid

Player empowerment is an Adam Silver thing too.

I am torn on it because I do think it's a labor issue and I will always side with labor, but then change it to you need to play 70 games to win a award, I don't care as someone who supports labor. Awards and incentives are awards and incentives. They are not wages.

Up it to 75 games, whatever. Someone does want to be the MVP or will at least try for it and it will make a difference.

Ideally we would have an NBA where there is no salary cap and you got to play 70-75 games to win an award. Then there can be zero complaining. I know that's a pipe dream.

I just know whatever is going on in the league right now is not good for anyone. Even the most hardcore fans have to acknowledge some shyt needs to change in between calling anyone who criticizes it a casual. Ok cool, call everyone a casual, but then no one is left besides people who subscribe to league pass.

were you expecting the NBA to take precedence over the Winter Olympics?

Now, the Saturday night stuff was an adjustment because TNT would normally have it on Saturday night no matter what. They didn't have to worry about any other programming. NBC does.

As fans we've gotta accustomed to certain things and now that it's changing we're struggling, especially older heads.

Next year, it'll be back to normal and we'll find something else to complain about.
I get what you're saying, but the customer is wrong attitude isn't gonna help a game in dire straits lol

Is there a similar post from when the games actually started and not one hour before?

Those ragebait posts are just created for engagement cause they know that angry people always show up and engage. With the 87th time they mention load management, adam silver, 3 points and flopping this month alone. :russell:

Look, you're well within your right to be mad. I'm just asking how did this news sneak up on actual basketball heads.

Did folks forget or was no one aware? These are 2 separate issues.

I truly believe sports fans, NBA fans especially, are getting rage baited into tons of stupid shyt and missing out on critical changes.

I watch games every night and read NBA stories every day and I didn't know until yesterday afternoon.

It's only because of the Olympics so it's not a big deal. It will go back to the normal time next year.

That's America in general. Look at the prices for Wrestlemania. It's absurd. Only corporate shills can go to these events now

Naw bruh. The seats at those other events may be expensive but at least people are in the seats. The seats are supposed to be expensive due to high demand. High prices and low demand makes no sense at all.

This shyt right here, this was bad. The NBA completely fumbled this whole thing.

First the NBA All Star weekend should never be the weekend directly following the Super Bowl. There is overlap with the money there and a lot of people/companies aren’t dropping that coin back to back.

Second you gotta work something out where your shyt isn’t airing at 2pm local time. That alone makes it come across as an afterthought. It can’t be All Star Saturday Night and people are leaving the event and it’s not even dinner time yet.
