Treating each quarter as a mini game is much better. There’s no way the players would ever agree to giving international players all star status just because they are foreigners and need to fill a roster

yeah like you guys said the format probably makes the difference so theyre probably not going back to a full game anytime soon, but you wouldnt have to name every international team participant to the all star team because it would be a different format than the traditional all star game. it would be more in line with how the mls all stars play a foreign league's all star team or a big european club team in the mls all star game.

I liked the format, and you saw early on once wemby set the tone. Then it lit a spark in ant edwards and he started playing hard then everyone started playing hard. Then them old heads were like we still got it young ins, but ran out of gas at the end. IF doing this format next year add 6 more all stars so each team has ten players.

I actually liked the mini games better, instead of the first 3 quarters just being and if the game is close nikkaz start playing what they did yesterday in every game with a few min left.

First three games were great, shout out to Wemby and Kawhi for balling out.

OGs didn't have the stamina for 3 in a row unfortunately.

should have expanded the rosters to like ten for each team

The problem with this format is that you have a star like Wemby who was dominant, but because his team was eliminated, he played a total less than 20 minutes. Also, just because it worked this year doesn’t mean it will next year. Not every all star game has been close in the past. I know things got out of hand with three point attempts (which I think is the main culprit), but all it takes is one player to play hard and then others will step up in whatever format they choose. I remember when they experimented with the draft and the Elam endings. Those were competitive also until they weren’t.

I'll give the baldhead faq some credit, one of his little experiments was actually decent with this one. Still needs tweeking and it's extremely confusing to an average fan but wasn't a disaster

But I'll give home some credit because it's clear without players actually caring his ideas will never work. Wemby brought some fire and that mattered, hopefully he realizes it's time to clear out all the old hoes
