Are you saying black men are equal when it comes to pushing the "white is better" agenda on social and other forms of media?
No shade, I meant it when I said I see folks freaking out about this stuff online but no where else.

So we love "Get Out" but we not supporting blk chick trying to get into speculative fiction? Support Nate Parker with his whitey wife and Donald Glover but not this chick?
Hmmm...the cognitive dissonance is.
Hope the story is great. She's got awful taste in men but I support blk endeavors especially when I've been longing for more blk epic fantasy for so long.
Besides, we can make all the excuses for her that we make for blk men pawging.
No blk dudes probably wanted her growing up.
They didn't support her on the come up.
As long as they supporting the blk community, who they with don't matter
Why ya'll worried about who other people fukk?
I'm trolling but still![]()
I think it's more the fact that this 23 year old has a book and movie deal when other black speculative fiction writers, such as Octavia Butler and Samuel Delaney hasn't sof much as sniffed a made for TV movie. I don't think anyone is shytting on black speculative fiction so much as why does she get a push, when there are established black authors who aren't getting the same push. Hell, the Dark Matter anthology contains any number of movie ready stories. The Coli often has conflicting and contradictory narratives on race and interracial dating but in sniffing out wenches and bucks, these guys undefeated. Lastly, childhood rejection hurts, some have only just started to healSo we love "Get Out" but we not supporting blk chick trying to get into speculative fiction? Yup. Some of the lamest nikkas you'll come across. I see you woke thoughThat shyts a front/finesse. NEVER trust pro black nikkas they do you worse than any white man.
I don't think it has less to do with supporting speculative fiction and more to do with hypocrisy over IR relationships.I think it's more the fact that this 23 year old has a book and movie deal when other black speculative fiction writers, such as Octavia Butler and Samuel Delaney hasn't sof much as sniffed a made for TV movie. N.K Jeminsin! I see the book part of your handle is quite appropriate! I can see your point: sometimes we have to suck it up when it comes to our black creatives, male and female. If the book is good, you're right, we can put on our love is blind binders (considering the dearth of black fantasy authors, this is a necessity) and get behind the work.I don't think it has less to do with supporting speculative fiction and more to do with hypocrisy over IR relationships.
My only point is, it's senseless and ridiculous to support blk males with non-blk females who represent our community in the media and then cue the excuses and mock outrage when it comes time to support blk females with non-blk partners.
If I can enjoy Luke Cage even tho the main actor is married to somebody lily white and support a blk man producing a pro-blk film while walking a cac down the red carpet, I fully expect blk dudes to put on the same "maybe dey was in love" blinders and reserve IR vitriol for what might be a pretty good project...at least until we see what it's about.
And yeah ur right a lot of this on both sides is about childhood rejection and "getting back at Tasha/Cordell for not picking me" in k-12 school as absurd as that seems.
In any case, somebody texted me about this on Twitter. I honestly would never have known she was with someone non-blk if it hadn't been brought up in this thread. Hopefully the story won't look like c00ning apologetics. Would be quite disappointed.
(And also add N.K. Jeminsin to that list of very good authors u mentioned before.)
The book still might be litThis thread was a surprise.
Came in for #blackexcellence...got fukkery in return.
Sounds like life in general, tbh.
BM/WM Relationships are mostly for social elevation....been going on for half a century.I don't think it has less to do with supporting speculative fiction and more to do with hypocrisy over IR relationships.
