What?? :what:

Mofo acting like there isnt any other hours in the day to exercise.

What about the weekend??

You have to figure out, how you became that big in the first place.

Write down everything you eat (for a day) for a week.

The next week, eat half as much.
Next week start putting in 30 minutes of exercise, like walking.
Then add more minutes to that the next week after.

It will take time, but you can do it.

No. Caloric restriction will only make him hungrier. Also he will plateau once his body gets used to the lower food intake and will just lower his metabolism as a result.

The only way to lose that much weight is to fast. PERIOD. And I'm not talking p*ssy intermittent fasting. He will need to do continuous PROLONGED FASTING. He should be eating a maximum of 2 meals a week. During those 2 meals he can pig out as much as he wants (but remember the eating window should not be more than 1 hour). There's only so much food one person can eat in one hour. The great thing about PROLONGED FASTING is he doesn't have to watch his calories. That one hour feast will be used entirely by his body by the next day. Then when that is done the body will go right back to burning the stored body fat for the next 3 days as he doesn't eat.

Eating a lot during that refeed window every 3-4 days is good because it spikes your insulin. What you want to do if you want to lose weight is put your body into situation where it goes from low insulin for long periods of time to short bursts of high insulin. This will melt the fat right off your body.

Losing weight is not hard.
Try OMAD or intermittent fasting.
Est 1200 to 1500 calories a day.
Do 45 to 60 minutes of cardio per day.

OMAD doesn't work for people who are this overweight. Caloric restriction will only cause his body to reduce his metabolism as it gets used to the reduction in daily calories thus causing him to plateau. The only way to break through the plateau is to do continuous prolonged fasting. If he's 285 lbs he should be fasting A MINIMUM of 72-96 hours between every meal. He shouldn't be eating more than 2 meals a week.

How tall are you?

And yes, very doable. Lift weights and play ball.

Your diet would have to be pretty strict. That's probably the most unrealistic part to fix.

You think cutting carbs AND fasting between 24-72 hours is more sustainable for a nutritionally undisciplined person?

Yes. Not eating any food is a lot easier than telling someone how much and what they should eat each day.

Most people fear fasting cause they think they'll be hungry all the time while fasting. The opposite is true. When you fast you actually feel less hungry than if you eat everyday. Once your body gets adapted to using its stored fat reserves for energy it will stop sending the signal to your brain that you're hungry. It will be getting all the energy it needs from those stored fat reserves. The key is doing that initial 72-96 hour fast to force your body into ketosis for the first time. Once your body has that first experience with prolonged fasting it will make all the fasting you do after that easier.

I've been doing continuous prolonged fasts for 2 weeks now and have never felt better. I'm also almost never hungry. The only reason I do my refeeds every 3-4 days is because I go hard in the gym and want to build muscle in addition to losing fat so I need that protein intake every 3 days for muscle building. If I wasn't trying to build muscle I would probably just eat once a week. That's how little hunger I feel while fasting.

It ain't gon happen.....to get to 285...that shyt in your dna.....I cant vet to that weight and I'm 6 2....its over

Nobody's genes were made to get that heavy. He has simply eaten the wrong foods too much too often. Which is normal for most Americans.

He can easily lose that weight if he starts fasting. Our bodies are pretty incredible in how it can fix itself if we give it a chance. He's essentially been poisoning his body with how much he's eaten. Once he gets off the food his body will recover. All it takes is discipline to fast.

It absolutely is. I'm 6 feet 5 inches and I went from 285 to 220.
I lost weight by working out 5 days a week after work (Jump rope for an hour, different weight lifting exercises for an hour). I changed my diet and ate mostly proteins and small amount of carbs (chicken and fish for protein, saltine crackers for carb) and tried not to go above 2000 calories a day.

165 is my dream weight but it’s hard as hell to lose weight and work a 9 to 5...any suggestions? I need help brehs I can feel the diabetes coming..it runs in my family smh

you don't even have to workout at first. Eat healthy, do not drink, no not drink soda, make friends with water. Stick to grilled foods, chicken and fish. lay off the bread.

You'll lose a good amount of weight but don't starve yourself.

Once you shed some weight then start thinking about the gym. The problem with the gym now is you won't be able to do much. Once you lose some weight you'll be able to move around better and then get it in in the gym.
