Props for this. Keep your eating window to just one sitting. See how you feel doing this for a while. Then if you think you can handle 48 hour fast try it.

If you want the full benefits of "ketosis" which is when your body starts feeding on its own fat reserves, you'll need to push for at least a 48 hour fast. That way your body learns that when it doesn't get food it can go right into fat burning.

Also if you do try a 48-72 hour fast I would not suggest just drinking water. You should add sea salt and potassium to the water so your body doesn't become depleted of electrolytes. With no food coming in, all the water you ingest will clear your body of electrolytes causing you to be sluggish. To stay energized drink salt water instead of just pure water.
Yea both times that I ate I kept it at a one hour window.
What about sugar free gatorade instead of sea salt and potassium? I generally drink one sugar-free Gatorade a day because I drink so much water and after an hour of cardio I feel like I need a gatorade.
I think I can go 48 hours but it's tough because my work gets catered food sometimes and who doesn't like to eat but I got like 50 pounds to lose.
It really wasn't that hard for me to go 24 hours but I've been doing IF (Well as much as I can) for like the last year anyway. You just gotta stay busy and commit.

Check the label to see if it has any calories. If it does it'll break your fast and kick you outta ketosis which you don't want. If it has zero calories you can drink it. But be careful of the sweetners they add. They can sometimes be more detrimental to your health than real sugar.

Salt water is just one way to replenish your electrolytes without breaking a fast. If you can find another way then cool. Just know that even the smallest bit of food or drink that contains any calories will break your fast.

It doesn't have any calories and I am aware of sweetners and aspertain and all that shyt. Damn I do chew gum too I guess I can't do that either. Even sugar free gum has aspertain in it i think.

To get the full benefits I wouldn't do none of that.

Don't be afraid of hunger. It passes quickly. And after your first long fast you won't be hungry anymore. I do 3 day fasts regularly now and I'm never hungry. My body has adapted to the lack of food intake and just stopped sending the hunger hormone Ghrelin to my brain (which is what makes us hungry).

None of this says anything about extended fasting. I’ve already said daily intermittent fasting was the way to go. Skip breakfast, and that’s a daily 12-15 hour fast. Similar to these. Nowhere does it recommend week long fasts regularly. It says “experts say fast somewhere around 12 hours a day” and at most a day fast. nothing remotely close to 4-5 days without eating. You can’t even fukking interpret the “scientific evidence” correctly and are out here advocating people starve themselves for weeks. What a clown

If you know anything about drug trials you'll know they first test them on mice then humans. Typically what works for mice also works for humans since we're made of the same stuff more or less. 24-48 hour fasts in mice is equivalent to 4-5 day fasts in humans (given the difference in lifespan and metabolic rates between us and them). Obviously most scientific experiments are carried out on small mammals like mice first before they do human trials. Based on the trials done on mice the health benefits are immense. So it stands to reason that the same benefits will carry over to humans who do these extended fasts.

Im about a week in think I started last Saturday. It's really not that hard and I don't get that hungry and been doing an hour of cardio a day. It's hard to do on the weekends tho if you have any type of social life anyway. I did it last week maybe 3 out of the 7 days. I think someone said this is on Amazon prime but he's a documentary about fasting and it has a bunch of doctors on it talking bout how long term fasting has also helped people with diabeetus and high blood pressure. After experimenting with it I am def sticking with fasting for 24 hours a few times a week.

Easily possible. Just start fasting. And not that intermittent fasting bullshyt. You need to do PROLONGED FASTING. Build a habit of fasting 72-96 hrs back to back to back. Eat only 1 meal every 3-4 days and you'll melt off all that fat in about 3 months.

Follow this guy on YouTube:

This is the best weight loss method for someone who is as heavy as you are.

Just finished a 48 hour.

I’m going for 96 in a couple days.
