How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
So, put these unemployment numbers against the number of jobs that the "Trump administration" has created and you have the perfect picture of the technique in which the economy was built up to these "historic" gains. House of cards economy , all these small businesses that didn't have the budget to lose 2 weeks of revenue so they had to fire everybody, I would be very interested to see how many of them were actually only in business because of lax regulations, or how many looked at this as a good thing because they were looking for a way out, and now can get money from the govt. The senators that are arguing against this bill have no problem whatsoever with corporate/business welfare but hit the fainting couch over the working class getting unemployment? and some of y'all in here parroting the outlets that HATE the middle class/working poor talking points?

Some people are too simple-minded to realize that the long term financial and economy impact that the corona virus will have more than outweighs that $1200 check that they are happy and excited to get.

I’d rather have the economy opened ASAP rather than the check.
thank you! I tried to tell nkkas on here to think log term they wasn't trying to hear it

but the news said Trump approval rating is up to 49% now :dwillhuh: this shyt dont add up

It makes perfect sense. See: Bush's polls immediately after 911 and Katrina. The natural response to a crisis is for people to rally around the flag. Sometimes it lasts (911), often times it doesn't (Katrina). I've been saying it for weeks, this is Katrina but worse. The media was camped out in Katrina reporting nonstop, and every Bush/FEMA fukk up was broadcast into homes across the country while the chaos in Louisiana took over. In this case, it's not regulated to one state. It's the entire country. As people continue to die and get sick, as hospitals lose capacity and are overrun, as Trump continues to not show an ounce of remorse or emotion for anyone besides himself...his numbers are going to crash. There's amble evidence out there that his administration didn't take this seriously and the media will hammer it home.

We're not far away from him firing Dr Fauci. When that happens I guarantee you Fauci will go on 60 Minutes and blow everything up.

  • Total cases: 54,453
  • Total deaths: 737
  • Jurisdictions reporting cases: 54 (50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and US Virgin Islands)

Preliminary In-Season 2019-2020 Flu Burden Estimates

CDC estimates* that, from October 1, 2019, through March 14, 2020, there have been

38,000,000 – 54,000,000
flu illnesses

17,000,000 – 25,000,000

390,000 – 710,000
flu hospitalizations

23,000 – 59,000
flu deaths

STUPID FEARMONGERING AMERICANS, TRUMP, AND THE GOVERNMENT ARE ALL TO BLAME, AND HAVE THESE JOB LOSES ON THEIR HANDS.

ok, but how do you explain the hospital systems on the brink of being overloaded? medical equipment and PPE shortage? morgues being filled to capacity?

Too long winded:snoop:Maaaaan, in any case, you take a system that went for-profit a few decades ago and slim down available hospital beds and of course global health crises would bring it to its knees In densely populated areas. The problem is to ensure it doesnt spread more, things not coronavirus related are being put on hold, fam. There is a reason people have to get worse and call ahead before going....they already full. Protective gear shortages...this is not something to be downplayed.

The reason why hospitals are pack is this and not the virus...

Why one-third of hospitals will close by 2020

Why US hospitals are closing

Breh, that was also the height of Prohibition, when the streets were being run by some of the biggest gangsters in our history. If you kept reading you'd see that trend didn't hold - not only did violent crime start dropping the moment prohibition ended (even though people had been unemployed even longer at that point), but other times of economic struggle weren't matched by rises in violent crime at all, while other times of economic prosperity still had lots of crime.

These are most likely little service jobs, they will probably get paid more than what they were doing at Applebee's....

It's all panic for nothing...

Good, I’m glad they are getting paid some money, it’s all panic for nothing until someone close to you gets it. If that happens, I hope it changes your perspective, I honestly do, but until then, why are you so against people that do see this as an actual threat to themselves or their loved ones? It’s appalling.
