I thought after a certain age u couldn’t join
Its a really high number though. Its between late 30s and early 40s depending on the branch.

But as a laid off professional like a scientist or doctor or dentist or tech bro; they Grant waivers which allow them to enlist deep into their fifties as officers.

Good for them honestly.

It’s productive to realize you got nothing going and to build a respectable foundation of some sort before it’s too late.

School is obviously the best move, but it’s also not nearly as financially cheap as signing your name on a piece of paper and committing. Then you can finish on the G.I Bill later. Degree and Military service opens doors not available to ordinary people.

You can still get a degree later in life well into your 50’s, but there’s a time limit on serving in the Military where that window closes, which is something to consider.
Id agree in any other administration, but its generally a bad decision to enlist during a republican term. Certainly an unstable one like trump.

Every single major combat engagement in the last 40 years has been initiated by Republicans.

Trump Might have that poor breh upholding apartheid in gaza in a few weeks. :picard:

But this only stands for enlisted. Officers have a lot more leeway with noncombat roles in offices or hospitals

Cons
My home station was a$$

Pay was a$$

Co workers fake or dumb as hell(not all)

Bad leadership ( not everyone)

Civilians were fake or openly didn't like military people

They'll work the shyt out of you

Other people will take credit for your work

Don't really get freedom or privacy

What’s the average military coli breh making annually?
Factor In location and allowances which are tax free. When I got out I was getting 1800 month just for housing cuz I was in socal and this was back in 2011. I regret getting out sometimes cuz I'd be retired.. my advice to anyone joining, do your 4 years get out get ur schooling, or just do +20 and retire

Pentagon needs to lift the weed ban. How many pot heads are being kept from serving because of this?
That's a fundamental failure of self control breh. It's trains to self medicate, but people just be waking and baking because they can't get through the day like a normal person. The acetate weed head can not stop smoking...... CAN'T.......I don't need all the negative that comes with having that pertain working next to me in a high pressure situation........ it's people that do quit to join with a waiver........ nothing good can come of active duty enlisted ir officers s being allowed weed use
