Public-sector jobs weren't "bullshyt" or "overpaid," they were stable, middle-class careers that offered a foothold in an economy that systematically excluded Black folks from the private sector.

We told you people that this was going to happen -- that Trump was going to gut the most reliable pathway to the middle-class for Black people -- the public sector. And now that we're seeing the results of his actions, your first inclination is to blame the workers, call their jobs "bullshyt," and act like this was some kind of natural correction instead of a targeted political attack.

My biggest problem with "DEI" is one; most of the people benefitting are white women.

Once it got cut, we were gonna be the worst off.

But, this definitely includes federal jobs as the Post Office is the biggest employer of black women.

The real issue is how artificially propped up and utterly dependent on the government's whims these jobs were in the first place.
