SGA is having a better season this year than any of jokic’s mvp competition in the last 5 years, and has been a heavy favorite to win it most of the year. The slight problem I have with the Jokic MVP talk is that he is the only one that is allowed to win the MVP every year that he is playing like an MVP
I'm not a Lebron fan in the slightest, but there were times from 2007 to 2015 where Lebron was clearly the best player in the NBA, but somehow he never won because of "voter fatigue" or that someone else "had a better storyline". Same exact thing with Giannis as well
Just a few yrs, Robert Covington was playing minutes at centerHe did this against Mason Plumlee and Nick Richards
I know it makes me sound like a hater, but this is a weak era for centers. Joker and Embiid are the only real centers of this era, and Embiid is hurt. Shaq dominated a weak era too in the 2000s, but Shaq was drafted in the 90s and played against Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Mourning. And even the centers that were weak, they were a legit 7ft. This era now is a bunch of PFs masquerading as centers.

Where are these other examples of players that are close to as valuable as Jokic who aren’t getting their fair consideration?
I don’t think Jokic has gone into one season as the MVP favorite until this year maybe. He went out and took it 4 years in a row. The only year they didn’t give it to him was the year Embiid went on a media pity tour. Not sure you're understanding what I'm saying. Nikola Jokic has been an MVP candidate since 2020. And every year the media is pushing like hell for Jokic to win the MVP award. That has not happened to either Lebron or Giannis, who during the years were never pushed by the public to win MVP every year, and even at times brushed off by the media
Bron won the MVP 4 times in the span of 5 years and was a runaway favorite almost every year he won. He basically went start to finish as the favoriteNot sure you're understanding what I'm saying. yeah, so like Embiid winning over Jokic two seasons ago? I’m not getting your point hereAnd Embiid deserved it the year he won it. And Shai deserved it last year. That's the point I'm trying to make, every year it's "someone took the MVP from Jokic". It's just weird
I can distinctly remember Derrick Rose winning an MVP when Lebron was better that year. And you still haven't addressed Giannis not getting an MVP because of "voter fatigue"
