My point is the opportunity to help the NFL sweep their race problem under the rug only exists because of what they did to Kaep. He forced the need for this
How are they sweeping the race problem under the rug when they’re partnering for social justice?

The NFL wouldn’t give a fukk about police brutality and issues in the black community no matter who they partnered with. No matter if it was Kaep Hov or Al Sharpton..

Besides a lot of y’all dudes can’t stop watching the NFL anyway. I went the whole 2017 season without watching a game.

Huh? What kinda mental gymnastics are you doing? The only thing I rock with Jay on is that this was never about Colin getting/losing a job. The only reason its a thing is because the NFL made it one. Who knew a silent protest, off by yourself by the bench, before the game during the National Anthem, would cause him to be blackballed out of the league? He sued and got what was owed to him. How in the hell is that selling out when he's the one that lost his livelihood for this all because the NFL, who does military and breast cancer awareness campaigns, decided police killing black men wasn't worthy to address? Who could foresee the NFL letting their plantation colors shine thru on this matter? You need to learn the difference between cause and effect. Colin never made this about him. The NFL did. Without spitting fairytales about what you envision Jay's "chess move" being, tell me what does having a say in, not even full autonomous control, over the halftime show at the Super Bowl provide to the cause Colin kneeled for? Outside of Roc Nation getting this contract from the NFL, there is none. And you know it.

I'm asking how is he anymore present or away, now, then he was before they paid him? How did he change?

He didn't sell out. The NFL was conspiring against him and denying him his livelihood. If he said he would stop kneeling and keep quiet about his beliefs to get a position on a team then that would be selling out.

Do any of you understand exactly what settling a lawsuit means?:francis:

Judging by these responses I don't think so therefore you shouldn't be trying to have this discussion.

I actually like this analogy.

But wouldn't it be more accurate to say Hank Aaron doing a deal with the Montgomery Bus Company AFTER a successful boycott?

And if Hank Aaron was willing to state that his influence can be expected to keep the conversation going?
Do you think Kaep’s protest has yielded successful results?

The protest has morphed into a double headed snake.

There is

1. The issue of unarmed Black people getting killed by the state.

2. The issue of a man that protested unarmed lack people getting killed by the state,
being black balled by an entire industry.

I don’t think either one of these issues have been resolved enough to be considered as a success.

She is not helping

They can reach out and ask what’s jay plan is if they can work together

All this lashing out with vitriol is not healthy

It should not be Kap vs jay

It should be let’s come together and figure this out

:francis:

Jay already stated his position on Kap. He basically sh*tted on hi,. What else should be expected from a guy who called himself Jigga?

I can believe the Nessa being Kap's puppet master theory. Before Kap was even messing with Nessa, he was a completely different person....was the typical jock that was more into himself, the lifestyle, etc.

She was with his teammate Aldon Smith first but which caused some friction between them.

Then once Kap got with her, she changed his whole identity on some Erykah Badu shyt. Man I know that p*ssy had to been fire lol:wow:

She diffently changed him for the better though but like others, I want to hear Kap stand up for himself more often.

The Kap vs Jay Z shyt is unfortunate because once again it's 2 powerful black men at odds with each other. It's the same shyt that happened to the Black Panther party

Boy y'all really put women on the pedestal either that or y'all don't know game

Kaep is a boss she's just his PR( which makes even more sense cause her job is in media) just cause she talking don't mean it's all coming from her

You nikkas are so clueless:scust:

It literally was just announced like a week ago. :mindblown:

Y’all expect progress to happen so quickly? Give it some time instead of being irrational.

You're actually right.

I would never suggest that the issues Kaep was bringing light to are successfully solved. Not at all.

I don't necessarily believe that is what anyone would have to wait for in order to do business with the NFL again.

However, Kaep has become bigger than the NFL in the political sphere. At this point, with the settlement and with his credibility still intact, the NFL lost. Kaep, in a strong sense, was victorious over the "battle" with the NFL.

That was the success I was alluding to. I do believe that there is a chance that Jay, considering his record, could potentially make a beneficial impact w/ his NFL dealings. We have to be realistic about what that benefit could be, though.

Could we see a much more organized and respectful way of business with respect to the livelihood, notoriety and health of black NFL players? Could we see a ramped up initiative by the NFL or a subsidiary that creates dialogue or an area of discussion regarding CTE or social issues, less likely.

That being said, the world doesn't stand still waiting for the impossible to happen. I can't fully get behind abandoning the league's black athletes and leaving them at the mercy of no one with their interests as even an afterthought.

------------------------------------------

I don't need or expect, at this point, for Jay-Z to be a martyr or a hero or a leader. I just can only hope that within his on system of decision making, even if profit is the major motive, that he has even a slither of interest in doing something I'd be happy with.

ok. so they throw money at social justice initiatives but havent reconciled for their own transgressions. They could have came clean about what they did to Kaep that day. as far as im concerned that is the first step to being taken seriously with this.
