The NYPD hasn’t been defunded.

The NYPD and police departments across the nation have been more hands-off since the George Floyd riots.
Same with Atlanta PD. A hands off/slow to react approach since they feel not liked right now, which is only going to make shyt a little more wild :francis:

Again this cannot be a coincidence there are protests to defund the NYPD and now a murder spree...shyt was not poppin like this before the protests...

I don't trust the NYPD one bit here...Not saying they orchestrating it but they are definitely turning a blind eye to it which is equally as bad...

You think the police have incentive to try and work hard when localities are debating to disband/abolish/defund their departments?

They don't and that's not an excuse or something as a tax payer I give a single fukk about...

My tax dollars are still paying their salary to serve and protect the city...

If they don't want to do the job, find another job...

Why tf is 4th of July such a violent holiday in so many hoods? :mindblown:
For the kids up north it’s probably the first real weekend after they finish school. That’s when everyone’s outside partying and barbecuing. When you hear a ton of fireworks and firecrackers going off, that masks gunshots for some people. Lots of people settling scores, out here acting crazy, staying up all hours of the night. Doesn’t help that people were doing bids at home cuz of the pandemic and everyone’s on edge wanting to tear shyt up. Cops ain’t really around either.

Just a perfect storm of problematic shyt

No we're not and it's not even close:stopitslime:

NYC averaged around 2,000 murders a year in the 80's. The peak was 1990 with 2,600. There were only 300 and change in 2019. Just because there weren't bloods and crips it doesn't mean things were better.
There were a lot of drugs gangs that era fighting over turf basically drugs wars

Let's be all the way real...

This wasn't david the doctor washing his car that caught a bullet.....

Homeboy was in a gang and musta got caught up in something..that was a targeted hit for someone who was in the "mix"...its a good chance he might have done some damage to someone else's child which is why the frisbee spent back his way

Just because you take ms glenda bags upstairs and auntie never seen you do bad dont mean you wasn't out here doing dirt...
Agree homie probably was involved with violence himself and someone came back for the getback price of living the gang life
