Half the dudes they let back out did not meet the bail reform criteria...

FYI for those that don't know, bail reform went into effect in JANUARY...There was no murder rate spike January-May...All this shyt directly correlates to starting with the June protests to defund the NYPD...

It is not about being significantly lowered since the 90s even though I grateful in the reduction of homicides and murders since then. That's a start and that's what every parent of a successful child does IN ADDITION to what they are getting at school (no matter how good or bad the school is). I am just not with the lack of self-accountability.

A lot of these hood dudes find "solutions" out of their predicament through crime and hustling. They will be transformed into the most innovative dudes on the planet when it comes to some criminal shyt (hustlings, scamming etc) but not when it comes to something constructive. NYC schools get like $35B in funding. The NYC high school graduation rate is at an All-Time high. It's SmartBoards in every room, stocked libraries, computer rooms with Mac desktops, carts with iPad's and laptops, after school programs, sports teams, partnerships with non-profits and local colleges. All the big NYC high schools have been split up into smaller schools within a campus with a concentration. My high school even had a Capital One bank branch in the school that hired students to run it and historically my campus was one of the worst in NYC history.

shyt ain't perfect but kids coming out the NYC schools are fine for the most part. I think the discipline system needs to be tweaked for those select group of students with behavioral issues and who are at risk at falling into street life. It needs to start early once a kid reach his mid-teens it's too late. It's exactly like the shyt Colvin had in The Wire.

See. And this is what I’m saying. End of the day. What’s the solution? Only thing I can come up with is parent teach their kids and be more present in their lives. More discipline. But I who knows if that’s gonna work. All that schooling is aight until u realize when u get out u can’t get a job in the field. I’m seeing a bunch of people pointing fingers and I don’t see tangible solutions. Also. It ain’t like that in all schools in NYC I know that for sure.
