I'll say this much though, we often focus on how much we've been wronged and what's owed, but I never see concrete discussions with the same amount of passion on what we can do as of right now internally. Unfortunately I think we have go stealth mode around the topic because to be upfront about it, everybody acts like you said the worst thing imaginable and runs from it. Accountability is not a fun topic for anybody.

But yeah, it needs a national reckoning. There's a mentality among some of us that is all too eager to violate our own. It's damn near a sickness.

So we can talk about both, but we know that unless the system changes for the better for us, our internal situation won't change.

Yeah, we've been talking, but that's all we're doing. Rarely do you see a large amount of passion and angst. I don't think a large enough amount of us hold our own accountable. Even the music we listen to, is there any other population on this planet that celebrates its own destruction while nodding heads and doing a two step? The irony is those that are responsible for our predicament are the largest consumers of that music.

Violence, murders and shootings are out of control in our community. Thats true. I think its crucial to bring up that when Black person A kills Black person B, Black person A will be caught, arrested, and jailed. The furor over police involves hundreds of years of harassment and brutality that goes unpunished and unchecked. We have the right as tax payers to hold people that are supposedly peace officers that WE pay accountable.

Now for the black violence thing, you will never see the other side of the coin when it comes to it. The brother that was murdered in NYC washing his car last week was a thread on here. I didnt realize that was a friend of a friend. They held a rally for him yesterday with hundreds of ppl. It was not publicized. People care breh. Its just not something that is portrayed by the powers that be.
