Did you guys keep your TV box?
Grabbed the 65” CX a few weeks back. Keeping the box in our basement storage...thought of keeping it there until the start of next year in case any issues popped up and it needs to be returned. But I hate having empty boxes and I’m thinking of tossing it out this weekend.

Other breh was saying you’ll need a monitor with an hdmi 2.1 input to display 4K 120 because hdmi 2.0 maxes out at 4K 60. In reality though the ps5 isn’t powerful enough to push out 4K 120, whenever you enable performances mode on these games, most of them are down-resing the games to 1080p in order to hit 120 FPS. Basically, as long as your monitor is 120hz you should be able to get the most out of performance mode on your games. If/when you play in highest quality mode then they will take advantage of the 4K and HDR capability of your monitor, which is why you want a 4K monitor with a high refresh rate.

This is the first person in these threads about TV's for next gen that is telling the truth. These 4k games are only getting to 60fps by down sampling the resolution in certain instances to lock the frames. There is no need for an HDMI 2.1 at this moment for console gaming because consoles won't hit that 120 shyt at 4k. Even PC's can't hit a true 4k 120fps on the latest games even with DLSS enabled.

I need recommendations for a T.V. or Monitor for my PS5, Brehs.

I want shyt to be as clear and crisp as it can be for a reasonable price, of course.

Nah. I said long ago that most games on the consoles won't be doing a real 4k60. Most will be doing dynamic resolution or checkerboarding. 4k 120 will only be for indie games.

So unless you are gaming with a top spec PC or a simpler indie games on console you will be ok with an 2016 upwards 4k TV.

Went with the 65” CX the week the PS5 dropped.
Zero regrets.

My nephew and brother in law were convinced that they needed a PS5 after seeing the setup.

Then my brother in law bought a new TV the next day :smugbiden:

that’s how great this tv is.
