TK giving an extended shout out to DVDVR expanding his wrestling perspective after ECW and WCW closed and mf, I was posting on DVDVR (and czwfans) with this coked up fiend. Delightful. That shyt is what makes AEW feel different, this guy was legit a hardcore fan and on the message boards in that post 2001 era, and it shows in the shows and how talent also talk about working in AEW.

:mjpls: When he going to talk about us though? A nice, "Shoutout to the crew at the TSC. They help provide insight in all of the girls having some meat on them. Profits are up 15%."

Sorry for derailing the thread a bit, but I need to shyt on Short Bus @Silkk because that dumbass tries to act like paying for play fights is some flex, but his biggest nut hugger is out here pirating shows like others. :mjlol:

Carry on. :skip:

Finally got time to watch the show . Blown away.

The moment I let go of logic for the AitA , the show went into over drive for me .

Been a rough couple of weeks lately, so this show and this match was exactly what I needed.

Also , Sasha is possibly one of the all time greats for women’s wrestling in the ring

fukking hell AEW are getting so good at this shyt. Daps have been handed out LIBERALLY.

Mercedes/Jamie - I was pulling hard for Jamie, but like with the other final there was no "wrong" answer here. They put on a match for the ages... hard-hitting shyt, counters on counters and the finish was brutal, but felt absolutely organic. Mercedes from stepping into the arena walking like a supermodel was absolutely flawless. Her and Toni are the best women's wrestlers on the planet and we're getting them at the peak of their powers in Texas. :gladbron:

We need to come back to Jamie/Mercedes eventually for the big belt because this was just absolute fukking piff.

FTR Vs Nigel/Danny - they did a good job out there but I struggle to care about Garcia still. I love the Nigel and Tony relationship. In a field of 5* classic MOTY contenders this match feels unmemorable because it was merely very good.

Ricochet Vs Mark Briscoe put the best Ambulance Match ever on our there. This is usually one of my least favourite stipulations... the endings always end up a mess, a bit like coffin matches, but sweet fukkin Jesus they absolutely killed it. From the comedy head polishing spot to the scissor duel and Mark Briscoe trying to water the desert with his own fukking blood. Briscoe is one of the unsung legends of this company. Ricochet in AEW :banderas:

HS should've squashed Sons of Texas in all honesty but the MJF angle made this a pretty sports entertaining 1/4hr. Probably could've been a Dynamite main event but you can't have a PPV without giving the crowd a look at the Syndicate. It's just good shyt. I can't see We Hurt People ringing out in the arena getting old any time soon.

Speedball vs Okada was another lesson in not judging Okada's abilities off his disinterested character work - Bailey pulled G1/C2 final Okada out and all allegations of washery are null, void and subject to Neg from here on. The Okada anti-air on the Ultima Weapon, the Speedball moonsault to the outside. Fight for fukking ever. :ohlawd:

After about 45 seconds of Toni/Mina I thought this was going to be one of those cool-down fukkery-filled women's title matches but with all the jiggling and pouting you can forget HOW GOOD AT WRESTLING MINA IS. The leg work, Toni's selling... totally different in style to the Owen final but an absolute masterclass from both of them. The post-match gonna live in my head for a little while :steviej:

Dunno what I can say about AITA that hasn't been said, but THAT is how you do Sports Entertainment for The Sickos in 2025. It's a perfect irony that matches called Anarchy in the Arena end up being the most tightly and perfectly choreographed displays of hardcore wrestling of the year - it felt like everything just went perfectly for them too. Willow and Marina did their part and I hope that's a precedent for more mixed fields going forward in AITA. Willow is an absolute star. Hobbs came out of this looking like the monster he's always needed to look like.

Oh and Marina needs to let Ronda and Shayna have her make-up artists number. That was a fukkin LOOK

Feel bad for DCF/Paragon - they really tried out there and they put a good match on, but I was just staring into space thinking about AITA.

Hangman Vs Ospreay :ohlawd::banderas::blessed:

This shyt is why I watch wrestling. The crowd must have been as tired as me watching this, but they gradually raised the temperature until you couldn't do anything but let it creep up on you. I don't think AEW have ever built a match this well and I don't know if anyone has ever executed a tournament final this well. I couldn't call it until the bell and I was yelling at the fukking TV.

Looking at the replays Hangman might've just saved Ospreay's life when that table gave way. :damn: They do some crazy shyt in this company, but that's professionalism right there.

I love being reminded why I love wrestling. shyt was like a love letter to everything that's good in this business. :whew:

I’m late

Anarchy in the arena should have closed the show. No questions about it. Five stars match of the weekend
Hangman vs Osprey was good and they went all out to make this feel like the biggest match ever. But I just don’t like hangman, no matter how hard they try I don’t get what’s supposed to be so special about him.

Other notes
Sammy Guevara sucks and Dustin Rhodes’s is :flabbynsick::flabbynsick:
Sasha I mean Mercedes mone match was good
The big titty girl vs Toni storm wqs dope because Toni storm is really killing it
I’ve already forgotten about the rest of the show because it was too damn long.

I’ll be back for all in
