LOL. You obviously never ate at any of the restaurants I named because you wouldn't be saying that if you did. Your comment just tells me you think all burger spots are like the diner slop you've been eating and you never had high quality burgers in your life like I have. You never paid $34 for the Gruyère Cheeseburger au Jus at Fulton on 89 South Street with the meat/wine sauce dip on the side. That's a burger you just don't compare to regular burger spots like you just did.

I rarely go there but I remember their burgers being decent. I’ll try a local spot everytime ivsr 5 guys but they’re ok.

Its usually the type of cheese that brings out the flavor and throw in some onions

Cheese is definitely important because once I started putting pepper jack on my homemade burgers

Another reason why NYC is goat is because we have real burger spots like JG Melon, Red Hook Tavern , Paul's Da Burger Joint, PJ Clarke’s and au cheval diner. Places that specialize on burger quality creating a superior product compared to the chains such as 5 guys and Shake Shack.

Is Burger Heaven still around? We went there when I interned in 2005.



I still work in the city, but we get our lunch catered, or eat in the food court when we have clients.

I only ever got this feeling from in n out. I have no idea why that place is always packed. Burgers are trash, and i can buy better fries at Walmart.

good french fries are blanched then frozen then fried... they do "fresh" fries aka basically RAW** potatoes right in the oil... half the time they're undercooked

**they soak the potatoes in water instead of blanching them

only place with worse fries is Freddies steakburgers
