The effective tax rate is much lower than that. After deductions they will end up paying much less than the 60% which is the top tax rate.
Basically all this means is that there is going to be A LOT of creative accounting going on for the top earners.

Yeah keeping it a buck... I get why the rich people feel like this. I make in the low six figures. I have classmates pushing up on the high six figures mark. Paying 62% would suck.
Still there are creative ways to lower your taxes and still vote for the right thing.
