Every country has a few weirdos but NZ is not Australia. We've for good relations with our native people and have a fairly open immigration and asylum seeker policy.

The person specifically spoke to Clinton jumping on the antisemitism bandwagon even when the criticism of Israel is founded. She was basically saying all of the vilification of Islam adds up, so it is hypocritical to pretend like you are standing with the people when you drown their voice out. It's always easy to discount your contribution to a problem by claiming you weren't the extreme one.

She literally said the NZ attacks are the result of Chesea’s rhetoric. No amount of parsing can make me believe that’s reasonable. Ilhan has been a target of right wingers since she was elected state Senator it didnt start with that faux controversy and it definitely wasnt inspired by Chelsea Clinton. It’s one thing to argue she was wrong ( i agree) but it’s a wild leap to claim she was behind the controversy. She had two tweets one of which was a friendly one between her and Ilhan.
To me it’s very obvious this outrage is simply another relitgation of the 2016 Clinton Sanders primary and that it’s all about her last name being Clinton above anything she’s actually done. Is there even a single example of her ever saying something remotely Islamaphobic akin to a Bill Maher or any of the right wingers who regularly engage in fear mongering?
The most amusing thing about this vigil thing is that she literally funds the NYU religious centre which doubles as a prayer space as Muslim students on campus, and was the site of the vigil. She was invited by the NYU Muslim Student Assocation and the Imam who organized the vigil and we somehow have scores of viral tweets claiming Muslims at large are outraged by her presence, solely based on the views of one student. To me, this is no less tokenizing then one right wingers point to a Muslim voice that confirms their views.
I think people implicitly recognize that their claims are weak because they’re already pivoting into one claiming the student is at risk and is being “doxxed” as though she’ll be violently attacked by a Clinton fan lol, this is all a wild stretch that’s just another example of how social media is an irrational fever pitch.
It's good to see the vast amount of white people getting hemmed up and called out for their past and current racist rhetoric and actions. As a white person this is long overdue. Disgusting it took this for it to happen.

Omar said "It's all about the Benjamin's" in reference to Israel never being criticised without AIPAC calling out the person as anti-semetic. Chelsea Clinton was quite vocal in calling out Omar for what was simply valid criticism.
The students twitter said that was her beef. For you to suggest otherwise is to pretend you know what is going through her mind instead of taking her at her word. Sounds like you may be the one looking for a Clinton controversy when it's not there.
Also because she funds the centre she is free from criticism?
She couldn't have been wrong about the way she called out Omar? Regarding tokenisation, Donald Trump Jr. defended Chelsea Clinton, and no one said he speaks for liberals, just as no one in this thread is implying the student speaking for all Muslims.
Indeed, I was giving my opinion as I saw the hypocrisy as well.
Don't worry about trying to read into my statements either, I was one of the few Pro-Hillary people on this board.
