this is not limited to AMERICA this is worldwide white supremacy in a nutshell. what are they doing different now that they haven't done throughout history? I think its time to stop hiding behind willful ignorance to avoid actually doing anything about the problem.
I would argue 99.9 percent of white people are white supremacists. History hasn't shown any evidence that would prove me wrong.
I can't say for sure that EVERY white person is but LOGIC would suggest that in order for this system to be in place for this long; the majority have to support and perpetuate it.

I ran across the girl's twitter who is in that video. She said she didn't realize she was being recorded. Someone did it without her consent. But she did say that mad people at the event were uncomfortable having Chelsea there. I can see where they're coming from. I didn't lose someone in the attack, but I definitely wouldn't have wanted to see her there after the Omar shyt.

Her friend posted the video and tagged her on it, it wasn’t a random bystander. I have a mutual friend who was actually there and told me the only people who were agitated were the student and her friends. There were plenty of other Muslims at the vigil, including the campus MSA and an Imam and the majority didn’t bat an eye. It was the former that invited her.

Im Muslim as well and was deeply saddened/angered by the attack but I don’t think it gives me a free pass to make tangential connections. The people most intimately affected by this in NZ are definitely not thinking about Chelsea Clinton’s Omar tweets.

Anyway like you said we generally see eye to eye on many subjects and this thing will die off sooner than later so not worth all the energy.

I'm pretty far removed from GamerGate and thought is was just dumb kids bytching from basements before, but here's a rough sketch of how I understand it now:


Back in 2014, a bunch of gamers started making hateful attacks against a female game developer, including doxxing her to the point where she had to abandon her own home. It was difficult to see any meaningful basis for the attacks other than that she was a woman and dared to try to be a part of the gaming world. They were attacked for being entitled white males, but defended themselves as a righteous cause to save their culture, or a backlash against racist sexist attacks against White males, and it turned into a campaign to preserve "gamer" identity - which meant attacking anyone who wasn't a young white nerdy male.

I've watched a couple docs on it earlier this year cause It was popping up and I felt like I had insufficient understanding of it as well.
