Gunther not a boring champion. He was just booked as a boring heavyweight champion.

His last reign kinda reminded me of Punk's before he left. How he was the champ, but it really didn't matter. If they're not careful, this one will be like that, too.

They need to have him defending it like he was defending the IC title. As much as I was meh about Jey having the belt, I also don't see the point of making him drop it. Maybe Ilja Dragunov bout to come back, but I don't see that being a reason. I really don't see any long term plan or marquee feud for him.

Jey still gonna be fine without the belt. His popularity not gonna drop. Still gonna have 5 minute entrances, folks still gonna yeet, he still gonna move merch.

They did Jey dirty by having him lose in front of his son just right before Father's Day. Come Sunday Jey gonna be sitting at his house like

Great show overall
As I’ve said before I don’t care if the truth stuff was a work or a shoot. I don’t care if the rock Cody stuff was a pivot or the real plan. ALL that matters to me and really anyone else should be was it entertaining and in both cases it was.

We have to stop acting like creative can’t pivot based off fan reaction like they have to get everything right the first time.

Simone said Netflix’s forced HHH to put on a good show because the rating were down. I’m sure HHH has always wanted to put on a good show. It’s not like he intentionally put on bad shows, like people want to give the credit to Netflix for raw being good so they can continue to push the narrative that HHh is bad and can do no right.

I agree good post. Who cares as long as they make the right adjustments.

I don't know if GUNTHER has it in him to be a face. The only way it works is if he naturally turned on some "Say what you want, but he doesn't duck anyone and he steadily whoops ass on his own merit" where the fans respect the talent too much to boo.
