This is a pretty silly and short-sighted post.

did i trigger your bytch ass? :mjlol:

yes i'm being ignorant but why should i feel pity for those who aren't working to ensure their family and future generations don't have a better life. :yeshrug:

many, if not most, americans work paycheque to paycheque but at the same time most of them aren't working on finding a better paying job to get out of the cycle. can't afford to save anything? well work on finding a job that pays more or negotiate a pay increase with current employer so you can save the difference between what you make now and the increase in pay. :martin:

oh right, i forgot... this post is about minimum wage workers who expect us to take burger flipping seriously as a career and the only way they'll get a "salary" increase is by protesting (unpaid time off work). :russ::lolbron::pachaha::heh::umad:

Didn't even say you were ignorant. But you're sounding ignorant now. Seems I must have triggered YOUR bytch ass.

Who are we to tell others how to manage their finances though? The average American (especially < 35) has a burning hole in their pocket even though they are living in a time with a much higher cost of living but less wealth than the previous generation. They can't do without their wants. And you can't tell them anything, "If you aren't providing them with One of the Three F's". My family can't manage money for crap and neither can my coworkers. All I can do is manage for myself.

Well, I am not part of 69% but heck if I go unemployed for a certain period, I might be right in that group. To me, that is the sad part. The older I get, the more I understand the system the more I am pissed how unfair it is for the average person. That's why I always side with minimum wage folks. CEOs at my job predicted record profit, instead of rewarding the employees they raised the bar for us to reach our bonuses. It is a sad world out there.

If you can't save 10% of each paycheck for your savings, you are living beyond your means. Maybe this isn't true for $30k< per year crowd but I think it is for most on this site.

After a few stints of unemployment and underemployment, I vowed to always prepare and save (sometimes 40% per check). If it happens again, that financial stress would be one less thing to worry about.:ehh:

People are living paycheck to paycheck to impress people that don't care about them.

There are also a lot of people working hourly wages not making much, though they aren't exactly smart wit their money either.
