Omega/Okada V officially on for All In
The Jags signed Adam Cole’s doppelgänger
But Marie Mae, bruh.WWE really going to be countering Okada-Omega, Mercedes-Toni, and Hangman-Moxley with the hollowed out NXT roster
And AEW hasn’t even announced the matches for some of their big guns like Ospreay, Swerve, and Hurt Syndicate
Like bringing a water gun to a nuclear bomb fight.
Watch them put like Ethan Page vs. Lexis Mid on the cardBut Marie Mae, bruh.![]()
"The people I talked to hinted to me there was some hiccups in relation to turning Christian babyface or getting him out of The Patriarchy. Seems like he wanted to do that for a little bit longer. And I don't know the reaction of those that were involved in the story but they had planned for Cope & Christian against FTR at All In," Sean Ross Sapp said.
Only thing that comes to mind would be something like Savage vs Hogan in WCW after they feuded in WWF. But that's the WWE bubble as you put it. I don't think you could find one because no other company has ever been on the level of success as WWE. It's not really a fair question to ask. But hey, here we are in the internet age 35 years later. It's gonna be like 8 and a half years since Okada vs Omega 1. I'm not sure there's any matchup in history that's comparable in the sense of being so meaningful to an entire generation of (mostly online) fans + being completely outside of the WWE bubble and having a rematch years removed in a unique and new setting in the U.S with both wrestlers still being able to work their asses of if they want to.
All Out in Toronto seems to be the perfect place to do it anyway.Sounds like Christian/Cope vs. FTR is a no-go for All In
Yeah, that's why I'm curious as to how the generation that was so moved by the rivalry (or just the first match) feels about this rematch all these years later. I think it's the first match of its kind for all the things already explained, but also in the sense of being such an IWC experience that was shared by so many people in real time or in a very short span.Only thing that comes to mind would be something like Savage vs Hogan in WCW after they feuded in WWF.
