:beli: Laveck gonna blame all the women except Rhea
It's definitely not a good look that she's the main attraction and sales are awful. Tickets for the first one skyrocketed once Ronda was announced.
On paper it looks like it's going to be a good show though :hubie: I was watching a little bit of the first 'Evolution' on WWE Vault and it doesn't hold up at all. This one will be a lot better
The first one was cursed with injuries and bad booking decisions. That was the year Sasha and Trish had the stare down at the Rumble which would've been a great match at Evolution, but Vince chose Alexa who wound up hurt and we got a shytty tag match instead.

If you would have told people at that time that in 2025 all three of them would be wrestling in world title matches the same weekend and two of them would be doing it against each other in another US promotion in front of 25k+ fans, they would have called you crazy.

From the first one, Becky/Charlotte is looked at as a classic, but not much else is talked about from it beyond it being the first one. It did end up being received better than Crown Jewel when no one expected it to be any good.

The second one has three matches (Iyo/Rhea, Naomi/Jade, triple threat) that have potential to be classic. There's no reason it shouldn't top the first one in every category.

I dunno if they really struggling to sell tickets but if so no Bianca No Liv no draw :yeshrug:
They're not tarping off sections if they weren't struggling. They booked a 16k venue because they thought they could sell it out. Even combining it with SNME wasn't enough to move tickets.

WWE/TKO want to continue holding shows on the same days that AEW are holding shows so that they can control the talk and momentum online:

“This is definitely something WWE wants to do where hey, if NXT is on the road and booking for arenas, they want to do it somewhere where they’re gonna have the last word of the night. AEW’s gonna be having ‘ALL IN’ in the afternoon and WWE’s gonna be coming in there after with SNME, so at the end of the day you’re not just talking about the fall out from AEW, you’re talking about what WWE is doing aswell. Controlling the narrative and momentum online — So there’s no coincidence, there’s definitely a directive coming from WWE with the behest of TKO behind, they’re all for it. They want to do more of these things.”
