I think you're purposely being obtuse. I was brought up to be able to support myself as a single woman or someone in a relationship. Feminism gave me that choice. We don't necessarily need a lot of things in our lives but here we are.

I don't think it is as cut and dry as a man simping for IG hoes. A lot of these women playing dudes are just regular women. A lot of average chicks still have rosters of guys and ex-bf's that can snatch them up at any time, leaving Mr. Romantic in the dust.
Furthermore, many of the women that really want that treatment from a guy, are going to give it up to him anyways. So there is still no incentive to go the extra mile.
I do agree that men cannot complain about women not giving regular guys play if they are shooting for the stars. I think both men and women have unrealistic expectations at times. It's just that women tend to live out those expectations because the can still sleep with "unattainable" men.
This. I was about this life but nothing ever came of it. I had my moment of clarity when I was hanging out with a female friend and I told her about my last
date, and she was like
"Why can't guys do that kinda stuff for me."
But she was always with a guy. They were getting that far just off making her laugh and making moves. I was pulling chair, opening doors (car doors too) and not
pushing for sexual contact. Threw all that extra shyt away and voila, dates went by smoother and cheaper. I wanted to practice chivalry. Women killed that shyt.
