I have very left leaning friends. Only my closest hear my thoughts on immigration and gay marriage. And they better not narc on me.

We have all said this many times, but if someone feels that things are too "politically correct" what they mean is, I can't harass the world with my racist/sexist, uninformed, unbalanced, idiotic, fringe beliefs, without being called on it or suffering social consequences for my horrific personality, character, and belief system.

"Mainstream America" cares more about being accused of being racist / prejudice, rather than the issue itself. They're quick to condemn someone who's obtusely racist for the most part, but their silence on the issues, are tolerance(acceptance) to the status quo.
