Can't be done, and don't try to argue. Once Melo arrives (and it's safe to assume he's taking at least 15 million a season) and the draft pick is taken, the Lakers are capped out. That's why paying Kobe 25 million is so galactically stupid.

:snoop:

projected 2015 cap = $62.1 million

currently the Lakers have only $35 million on the books for 2015 (that includes Nash's $9.7 million). Lakers sign Melo to $18 million, Embiid at $5.5 million.

2016 cap will go up another 2-3 million so lets say cap is $65 million. that means we'll have $16.5 million to spend on Love.

its doable.

What free agent in there right mind is gonna sign with a team full of rookies and sophomores that's getting blown out by 30 points every game. :lolbron:

DO you really think they're gonna be blown out by thirty every game next season? The only players that'll be on the roster next season are MCW, Noel, Wroten, Moultrie, Thad Young, and Jason Richardson. Besides JRich and Thad Young, the rest will be making peanuts. All of the D League talent like James Anderson and Hollis Thompson will be gone. Mullens, Maynor, and Jrich will be bought out. Let's say they get Randle and Vonleh, and that's being generous. THey'll add another veteranshooter thru free agency. They won't be a playoff team, but they'll be a lot more competitive.

They ain't winning more than 25 games breh. Your severely underestimating how good some of these bad NBA teams are. Even teams like Cleveland would have a field day with the roster you just named.

MCW+Noel+shooter+draft pick+Young ain't scaring no one my friend.

59 million among 5 players next season? You need 12 players on a roster. What did I tell you about not arguing? It can't be done.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Again bro go look at Cleveland and see how many lottery picks are on that roster and see how many games they have won. I don't see Kevin Durant in this draft only legit guy is embiid and he already has back and knee problems. You cant expect a bunch of young lottery picks to gel against seasoned NBA veterans you need some balance on your roster. You need to keep some assets and build yearly not just fire sale everyone and pray you get the next Lebron or Durant. And the funny part about that starting 5 you put together is that they ain't winning more than 25 games next year against NBA talent if it becomes reality next season.

:wtf:

So, you're expecting a 1 year turn around? :mindblown: If all they do is win 10 extra games next year that is an improvement.
:comeon: Nash and his $9.7 million comes off the book next year stupid. So thats $20 million in cap space for 2015 NOT $11. And Kobe comes off the books in 2016. So thats another potential max player if Kobe retires.

Mitch has already let it slip that the Lakers could decide to not use all their cap space this year and just fill it with one year deals again for make a run at Love in 2015.

Calling me stupid, yet you clearly don't even understand how the cap works.

2013-2014
Salary cap -
$58 million

Melo 22 million
Kobe 23 million
Embiid 5 million

That is $50 million alone between 3 players this summer, and you in here talking about Nash expiring gives them 20 million? No dummy, if you sign Melo that cap space is GONE for 2015.

You straight up deal with video game logic and nothing else.

you do know the cap goes up $2-3 million a year right? http://www.celticsblog.com/2013/6/4/4394314/projected-nba-salary-cap-and-tax-threshold-established

2014-15 cap is projected to be $62 million. 2015-16 should be about $65 million. Melo will need to take a small paycut and so will Love but it can be done.

Wesley Johnson as your sixth man? :mjlol:

Gonna have a short rotation with a 36 year old no defense playing Kobe coming off knee surgery having to play major minutes. Sounds like Knicks 2.0 to me.

Breh, this will be my last post to you, you continue to talk out your ass

The salary cap hasn't gone up in almost 6 years now, but don't let reality get in the way of your NBA 2k15 free agency dreams - http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/info/salary_cap
