Am I the only one that thought that since Clark Kent is faster than a speeding bullet... he could have SPED over to save his father and just tell everyone the tornado wind blew him to safety? Why you letting your father die for... reasons?

In the story his father waved him off because he didn't want Clark to reveal himself as an alien/superbeing in front of all of those people.
