we lost iraq, vietnam, and really afghanistan because we couldnt create a system that worked for them. their people became desperate and more extreme and hostile...militaries need to focus on understanding the countries theyre in, and reconstruction than breaking shyt
again, the statement isn't wrong.

a military is a military...

We didn't lose in Iraq, vietnam or afghanistan.

We knocked their militaries out. Easily. All three.

BUT...NATION building is something the military doesn't do well.

Ya'll gotta stop making these statements without knowing what you're talking about.

:what::what:
first off you lose a war if you fail to accomplish the goals of your war. so we lost all this shyt
the goal of vietnam was to prevent a communist government from taking over vietnam. we lost that pretty clearly by 1975 after millions of people had already died.
so thats a clear loss.
the goal of iraq was primarily to institute regime change (really it was claimed for wmds but the goal of the war itself was to remove saddam from power) and create a regime friendlier to the west because of iraqs control of resources. islamic state are eating easy there, and the remaining regime is shaky as fukk.
another definite loss.
afghanistan was to eradicate al-qaeda, and eventually the taliban. these groups are way less powerful but we're still basically in this country with no real end in sight so count that as a win if you want but we basically got bled by that long fukking war that went nowhere after 2003 and is still a fukked, corrupt nation

we may have knocked out the formal militaries of those countries but we clearly lost these wars to irregular armies.

The Iraq war was not lost. Combat operations were successful.

Period.

Twice

Same with Afghanistan.

We defeated the governments of both nations within months.

With respect to vietnam, the USA won damn near every battle. Its hard to prevent the inevitable when china is next door.

Stop confusing battle operations with nation building

we have different ideas of what winning a war means, no point in carrying this on

Hard to nation build when u got ied's blowing u up on your way to nation build. Your right in the fact that military to military its not even a match, its like a prime MJ playing Fat Joe one in one in Bball. What you not accounting for is the insurgency. Hard to fight what you can't see. When you do get that oppurtunity to catch or kill a insurgent, you just breeding more. The media will tell u that Iraq was stable before the US completely withdrew. Tell that to the Iraqis who feared going to the market because it might get blown up.

That whole silly section about rape babies is going to kill their chances with women. :heh:

And yeah, FOX clearly has it out for Trump.
Wait, what? I've only read a couple summaries and didn't see much footage, what happened here? :wtf:
