You did the right thing OP. Once it started affecting you and the team…he was pretty much saying fukk you. Nah, fukk YOU.

This.

Also, Snitching is

1. when u and another person both commit a crime together and one gets caught and rats out the other.

2. u are in the streets and an opp violates you or a fellow gangmember and u run to the law to give a statement and point out your opp in court.

dudes in here talkin bout 'snitch' would've just kept doin the fakkit's work for him and fixin his mistakes for eternity i guess right? yall are so goddamn backwards and stupid sometimes, it's incredible.

THIS!!! None of them would take on more work from a coworker ducking out and bragging about it. Unless he's giving up some of his salary to do his work/clean up his mess, his free ride is over

Notice how none of the naysayers gave an example of what they would’ve done in OPs position.

Imagine a coworker:

-arrives late
-leaves early
-increases your workload by passing his unfinished work to you
-fraudulently clocks in more PTO
-ignores the teams concerns for over a year

...and GAF about his best interest. :mjlol:

fukk him. :yeshrug:

This only comes back to bite you if word gets out you informed superiors. Not because it was right or wrong, but because some coworkers might have the same retarded no snitching mentality, regardless of context, that’s you’re seeing here. Even then, this could be avoided by making sure the “tip” was anonymous. :mjpls:

I work an unsupervised position in a team 6 figure job. This dude been leaving early and leaving work for us to do without logging anything, so we have to constantly find and fix his mistakes. Anyway he slipped up one day saying "I have xxx hours of PTO". Mind you we should have at least the same or close. I log all my PTO to avoid any audits or time fraud. Plus ain't no way dude gonna have all that time off when he ain't been doin no work and always leaving work early or taking days off. So I reported to the boss (who is in another state). All the days he took off, he correlated it with his hours. Now there is an investigation going on dude haha. Got em. All yall who always complain about how you constnatly get screwed, don't be afraid to use the system yourself, cuz they will do the same for you. :russ:

dude was bragging about getting another job, now his only referral bout to report this to the interviewer :russ:

Did i win :mjlol:

So instead of saying something to him directly the first time he did the shyt-:snoop:

…nvm. No you did not win.
Don't fall for this. He wasn't coming back from lunch a few minutes late. He was messing with the timesheets in a way that could be audited... and you're on record as fixing his multiple times before... it's either him or you... you're making six figures why risk your setup for him... you don't need to tell someone no to do time fraud.

This might not go over well on this board, but somethings you just can't cover up. You have to protect yourself in those type of situations.

Fall for what? :why:
Nothing you said is a direct response to anything I said in my post.

Now HR going to look into everyone's shyt, if you're clean they going to know who snitched and if your not, you just played yourself op. Congrats
So what. It was the dude who fukked up not the op. When the word's "audit" come up, it's out of your hands. Trying to run a no-snitch policy aint happening in that situation. It's good that HR goes over it to make sure everything is straight before it hits the audit.
