No the cop was wrong.
Anyone who disagrees is a p*ssy!

Fine she refused to sign, but after she said okay she'll sign
What was the need to take his taser out? There was no need, she was CLEARLY not a threat.
Why did he put his leg behind her and throw her to the ground? She was clearly not a threat!

Anyhow, my opinion is the cop could have handled it better.
I don't think this job is for him, this was excessive force.

CLEARLY

IT WAS ALL EGO AT THAT POINT

Thats why its called police BRUTALITY.

Very rarely do these incidents, at least these days, happen with no legal initial justification.

its the excessive shyt that is the problem.

Cop was on his patrol and enforcing a code. Fine. Good. All fair.

That cop did not judiciously use his powers.

Fight that shyt in court. You can't fight shyt without a court system. Until that glorious day of running through a grassy knowl on a sunny day hand and hand with a cop, where he's doing everything in a equitable manner. You have to go to court and charge him for his misconduct.

Why you just pulling on the emotional strings of nikkas, and not going line for line on what he violated and how to go into court and bring up charges.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
And a logical being can act however they want, this cop should enforce law but with a bit of discretion, which should lead to him properly explaining the situation to her as opposed to escalating it. I have a big problem with his approach because I have seen similar approaches lead to shootings with either suspect or cop dead, when all the cop had to do was explain that it wasn't an admission of guilt, but hey, if they lean towards declining you can get upset and attempt an arrest, I'm sure that will go over with the already combative person that doesn't know why they are being arrested.

Insane, the excuses you make for cops to escalate the situation. In reality, you, the spectator, has problem with the attitude with the suspect, so you decide to live through the ridiculous route this cop took to handling the situation, even though there was a clear chance for de-escalation.
The cop explained sign the ticket or go to jail. What else do you want?

And he repeated his badge number over and over.

The cop was right according to the law, which is what matters, not feelings.

i think knocking her to the ground was uncalled for. but i also dont think he was trying to antagonize them or treat them unfairly. he explained himself, the situation and the consequences for not signing clearly, and without aggression. he answered any questions she asked.

when he said she'd get arrested did she think he was bluffing? i get that he could have given them a pass. but he's not obligated to do so. they were obligated to sign the citation or get cuffed.

everything she said and asked for could have been done after signing the citation. and you can fight the citation itself in court if you feel the need to do.

Watched the full video on APD’s page and Atlscoop. She turned a small situation into a more serious situation which could of led to someone getting shot and killed. Bro better drop her ass ASAP, she has proven to be difficult.

Wrong.

The cop was wrong. Cop could have told them to go home. He didn't do that. She also offered to sign the form, which shouldn't have even been issued.

She has a STRONG case for a lawsuit.

again, the cop was in the wrong until she "resisted" arrest.

nah, he was antagonizing the couple:

Here is how escalation works:
  • Ask them to go home. Its a fukking park. He wasn't giving them a pass. A "pass" is not asking them to leave and him just leaving. He didn't even do that.
  • Threaten with citation IF they don't go home AND INFORM THEM THAT SIGNING CITATION IS NOT ADMISSION OF GUILT
  • Then arrest if no further compliance.
This bum ass cop skipped all the way to step three.

he

did

not

tell

them

to

leave

this was some minor bullshyt he wanted to issue tickets for.

Whats the point of saying "its illegal to be here after the park closes" then go straight to tickets? Is this what yall really wanna argue over the minor shyt we see?

BET. Next time cops break up a party I want to see yall bytching and crying when they skip straight to paddy wagons and handcuffs for not clearing the club at 2AM sharp.

Lack of respect for a black man.

She wouldn’t of done all that if the cop was white.

All she had to do was take the ticket and KIM. Was he too aggressive? Yes, he didn’t have to take out he taser either.
