I respect your opinion.

I just can't see a perimeter oriented team like the Heat beating a team with a dominant(not just "good"..I'm looking at you Roy Hibbert) center.

Especially a dominant center surrounded by shooters and another dominant creator/one on one player like Penny

If this team was so great, why no rings? The Bulls had Luc Longley, Bill Winnington and Will Perdue at center and it meant nothing.

I think you're ignoring the fact that LeBron would be the best player on the floor by miles. Shaq isn't who needs to be worried about. It's that #6 guy.

He went off on SA and they're an excellent defensive team with one of the greatest coaches of all time and a scheme tailored to stopping him. Now I'm supposed to believe Brian Hill is gonna draw up a game plan in where Dennis Scott and Anthony Bowie are going to stop him?

It's all speculation anyway, I just don't see how Orlando avoids another sweep in this scenario. :yeshrug:

29 and 12 in '95...........No matter what incarnation of Shaq we're talking about here, he's shytting on Miami's front line and collapsing their D.

We're not talking about a old, slow, and methodical Duncan. We're talking about maybe the most dominant physical presence ever witnessed on a basketball court

Bosh, Birdman, Anthony, Haslem, Juwan Howard....none of those guys could guard Shaq, but that's 30 fouls right there. Go one on one with Shaq, don't be afraid to foul him, and you stop the other 4 and take that chance that Shaq will beat you on his own.

Which is exactly what teams did and exactly why this team got swept every year they went to the playoffs.

:wtf:THE GOAT DEFENSIVE PLAYER DID.
OH I GUESS YOU DIDNT SEE THAT SERIES.
STOP POSTING...
:aicmon:nikka MENTIONING WILL PURDUE WHEN DUKE HAD ALREADY GOT TRADED FOR RODMAN.

Who guarded Shaq when the Pacers swept them? Who guarded Shaq when Utah swept the Lakers? Who guarded Shaq when Utah put em out 4-1?

First Shaq is this immovable object but then you say a player half his size stopped him with ease. :lupe:

You think one dominant center is all you need to win rings? Shaq would have more than 4 if that was the case.

Who's gonna stop Shaq is the wrong question. Shaq can be stopped by fouling and pressuring the ball like the Bulls did in 96. Or did you forget about Phil employing that full court press in that series?

It's bad enough nikkas overrate Jordan to "never did anything less than perfect" status but now you're trying to convince me Shaq was flawless too? And completely ignore LeBron in the process?

You sound ridiculous. Stick to obnoxious and comical stanning of D. Rose, breh. He should be gettin off IR soon.

This is when Penny was going hard....Shaq was basically unstoppable..you had to try to foul him before he got the dunk in, that's how ridiculous it was with him during the timeframe. LeBron would keep them in it..I wouldn't trust Ray Allen to hit big threes with the game on the line in close situations. Shaq would probably average 40pts a game without no issues at all. Would be interesting.

And Shaq wasn't stopped in that Bulls series..his team was. LOL. Nyggas be making it seem like he was coming up short on some Nowiniski type shyt. Nah..he went buck wild but his team didn't keep up. You don't do that against a Jordan team.

Prime LeBron and a bunch of abnormally clutch players like Ray Allen, Mike Miller, Battier, or Mario Chalmers?

Penny is my favorite player ever but yall are crazy if you think he's gonna dominate Bron. LeBron is the upgraded version of Penny. So yall tryin to say a team that never won shyt would beat Miami in 4 or 5? :laff:

That's a weak statement..they "never won shyt". The NBA of today and the NBA of that timeframe was different..LeBron would of never won any titles when it mattered either with Jordan around. Would of been dealt with in 5 games or a swept every time. Hakeem only has titles because Jordan left after his father got killed. He's not even a real champion...he has his titles because one man was mentally in a different place in his life. The Heat of 2013 would have no answer for Shaq of 95. Not at all. They didn't have to win shyt back then..this team is softer than the 95 team who had to deal with two of the greatest championship teams of all time. Shaq would murder the Heat...Penny would be open because of the Shaq double teams..there would be a lot of dishing out from Shaq during the double teams for open players like Anderson.

More than likely, it would be a 20pt blow outs every game and MAYBE it doesn't go past 5 games.

Bron and Wade would have to average 30 apiece for the Heat to have a chance. But I think Shaq would have been too much for their front line. He probably would have got 40 and 15 a night if he wanted.

I've spent too much time in this thread so I don't feel like going into this too much but god damn you got a lot of suspect notions presented here.

First Olajuwon "isn't a real champion" then he plays for one of "the greatest championship teams of all time"? :what:

And that's just the contradictory part. :heh:

Shaq probably would average 40 and 15 but who would win?

Shaq is only one player.

Who stopping Penny as well? Put Bron on him and he will be fatigued and not sharp on the other end. And run the risk that Dennis Scott or Nick Anderson would get hot. They put Wade on him he'll just go to the post on him. I think the Magic would win in 6 unless Bron and Wade were playing on another level. And I doubt that would happen cuz both of them would be shooting a lot of jumpers. Bron rarely drove the lane when Hibbert was back there so I know he wont attack the paint like that with Shaq in the middle. Horace Grant would make Bosh a non factor too.

You can take any of the dominant teams of the 90's and they would be untouchable in this era. The league is watered down now and doesn't have much talent. Once you get past the starters in this era the benches are completely trash. Teams in the 90's had guys coming off the bench who could still produce if needed.

Bron would be too fatigued from guarding Penny?

Well if we're just gonna make up ridiculous things then I'll say Shaq would dominate so much he'd get fatigued too from putting up so many easy layups. :stopitslime:

Nick Anderson get hot? This is the 95 Magic right? :heh:

Meanwhile I still haven't even gotten a bad answer for who's gonna guard Bron. :russ:

That 95 Magic team is my all time fav and I'm a Penny stan...

But they getting their asses kicked against Miami. No bench, terrible on the road, Penny was still physically light and would have been swamped against bigger bodies like Bron or even Wade or Battier. They had perimeter threats like 3-D, Nick, Royal and Penny but so do Miami and the defesne probably gets quicker to them

They wouldnt really need an answer for Shaq and he would bully Birdman, Bosh and them but if you shut down the help, they live with that.
