Take back what I said about Mayweather as a heavyweight...

Mayweather as heavyweight = only person who could give Tyson trouble.

He could duck / dodge until tyson got tired, then pick him apart.... this would be a toss up

No way Marciano beats Tyson, but a prime Sonny Liston could.

Sonny had a dominant jab, so the shorter Tyson would have to try his best to get inside. And if he did, he would have to contend with Liston's power.

Not saying Tyson couldn't win, but you're selling Sonny short.

aight, he has a better chance than marciano (fukking bum :heh::heh:) but i don't think he winning breh.

i think the op may be right. prime vs prime i'd feel :sadcam: for any other heavyweight.

i remember watching the early tyson fights and there was nothing behind his eyes but focused rage and strength. even as a spectator i was petrified of that dude. and you could tell that every single "bad mfer" that got in the ring with him at that time was also petrified. when cus died he was a broken man though. the fame and money also did him in along with robin givens and the rape trial.

that first tyson/holyfield fight... :lawd: like two lions fighting for leader of the pride.

Tyson dominated/ruled/conquered his division like no other heavyweight before him.

Put a prime tyson in the ring with the bums marciano and liston were facing, it would be death.

You got marciano facing people with 1-50 records and liston...well liston was facing people who were 185lbs lol

Um. Tyson didnt dominate his division like Joe Louis did. This is a fact.

Yeah because Tyson didnt fight any bums did he? :sarcasm:

You seem purely clueless about boxing.

I don't like comparing eras like this......

However, if I had to bet money on a young Foreman vs Cus' Tyson, I'm betting on George...

Its a toss up on everyone else, including Ali

You must not have seen Tyson vs Razor Ruddock.

Tyson can take a hit. Then spread your teeth all over the ring.

Marciano?:laff:

Marciano was 5'11" 185 LBS!

Tyson stood 5'9" 215 freaking pounds. Tyson would bully that little boy out the damn ring.

Holyfield? ducked tyson in his prime. and only after Tyson went to prison was better, but its well documented he was juicing. This wasnt Cus Tyson.

Ali he would have trouble with. A good boxer style Tyson couldnt knock out. And Ali was good at keeping distance. Also could take a hit.

A prime Ali would murder that short little nikka

Ali Bomaye!!!!!
Im not so sure about that. Ali's defense was nothing special and Tyson at 20-22 was relentless, powerful, fast, AND accurate.

I think foreman would be the one to put Tyson down in his prime. I have a tough time seeing anyone else do it tbh.

Well, they actually didn't become bums until Tyson destroyed them...

They were highly touted

Williams, Bruno, and Berbick come to mind off the top

George foreman would KO Tyson. He eats people up that come straight at him like Tyson would. Not to mention he has the better boxing skills and is stronger.

Liston was too slow to deal with Tyson imo, if Tyson were to get inside (which he probably would) it would be a wrap for Sonny, no Phantom punches included

Tyson asked big george for a match 3 times but dude declined, he would of put old man foreman in a coma.

And if he did beat foreman it would of been "oh...he was old anyway" lol

Foreman was not a better boxer than a young Tyson. But I do agree that Tyson's straight ahead(especially at 5'10) style would have been right up Foreman's alley
