So we judge sparring sessions now :rudy:

It's fukking practice :aicmon:

Fighter are working on their game plans and making adjustments. In the process their going to take shots because their working in spots where they are more
vulnerable.

nikkas get knocked down in sparring every day.

Who ever your favorite Boxer is has gotten his shyt ate in a sparring session. It's not a big deal.

Okay. This was in preparation for the Douglas fight. Which he lost and got a beating. Funny how Tyson stans pick and choose which fights matter.

It's pretty well known his training at that point was about as intense as playing Fight Night on Playstation. He was flabbier than ever when he got in the ring...Even a fight or two before Buster Douglas he could have lost to more talented guy. You're talking like the 1990 version of "flawed" Tyson is what he typically was as a prime fighter still under the guidance of Rooney and the D'matto camp

if his skills were on point he should have beat douglas even if he didnt train hard. especially if hes the Greatest of al time as you bums say.

James toney was fighting heavyweights when he was just an obese middleweight. and he didnt get knocked out because his skills are on point. james toney is a more skilled fighter than tyson. deal with it.

Not stanning I just hate when people criticize ring work in a sparring session.

It's pointless

He was training for a fight. It's not like he was in between fights and just working on things. When you get dropped in sparring preparing for a world title defense, that's a problem.

It's funny but that win he got over :flabbynsick: is so underrated. That was the only time Larry was ever destroyed like that. He was competitive in every other loss even well after the fight with Tyson.

So basically, you've never been in a fight....

I've had 5 amateur fights. So you think it's normal for fighters to get dropped in sparring when they are preparing for a fight? You don't know shyt about boxing.

How are your skills on point if you don't train hard? I see why your red is through the roof
It doesn't matter what sport it is and how nice you were, any athlete is going to lose their gift if they don't stay on point, especially against another one that prepares like there's no tomorrow. Why wasn't Mike dropped in sparring BEFORE this time if he was so awful?

Skills aren't like fitness. You don't lose skills if you have learned them correctly. See James toney and Bernard Hopkins. Even when James toney turned up in terrible shape to fights, he never got knocked out because his skills kept him in the fight.
