Dude claimed suddenly is trash lol

I'm sorry... in comparison to Rocky's best joints, that song is kinda trash.

I feel like he's more of a Clams Casino Stan than A$AP, son didn't really fukk with his debut album.

Didn't we discuss this already?

I said yes I'm more a Clams fans but not by much [though I should reconsider this statement because I think it's about even]. If you look at my top 5 Rocky joints, 2 of them are not Clams at all. I love the "Pretty Flacko" and "Brand new Guy" side of Rocky too. Rowdy Rocky. Same with the "Trilla", "Kissin Pink", and "Goldie" sides of Rocky. "Jiggy" Rocky.

Rocky is highly versatile and extraordinarily charismatic when he's inspired. When he doesn't bring energy to the track or rhymes on uncreative beats, he's boring as fukk. And the fact that his lines on average are filler hurt even more in those circumstances.

LPFJ 2 has 100% filler rhymes. But the vibe is great. That's why I fukk with it.
Electric Body has 100% filler rhymes and a shytty vibe. hence :trash:

To me his debut was a lyrical progression if you listen to tracks like Suddenly, Ghetto Symphony, Hell even the posse cut 1Train.

I don't care about 'lyrically'. This is the kind of stuff that makes hip hop disposable.

The most important thing in hip hop is VIBE. The feeling. You know why people still foam at the mouth over Illamtic? It's because it has an extraordinary vibe/atmosphere. It's not because it's apex of hip hop lyricism. IT ISNT. Not even for Nas. Nas has more lyrical tracks in his career after Illmatic. But he has no album as good as Illmatic because the vibe isn't as good.

His debut don't got the same cohesion and ambience as the tape and some forced pop songs like the song with Skrillex and Problems.

exactly. and it's not even close. That's the problem.

Rocky should have put some ASAP features on there. Should have put on a posse cut with Dash, Ferg, Nast, and Twelvy.
