nobody is saying to pay them the same.
strawman your way through a debate, brehs.

you should be embarrassed that you can't articulate your argument without debasing yourself in such a juvenile fashion.

everyone should earn a living wage no matter what the job is.
if you work a fulltime job then you should be able to afford a place to live at the very least.

If $21 ain't enough then how much should they be paid? :dwillhuh:Somebody brought up $30/hr, that's what most Nurses with Bachelors degrees start off at.

To live comfortably in Chicago you need $30/hr. Y'all basically implying folks should get paid that.

Folks talking about $30/hr to make pizza. Construction trades barely make that. :wow:Most college graduates don't make that:wow:At that point why even go to school when you can get paid $30/hr making pizza :wow:

Your not getting the point, wages have been flat for 40 years while business profits are at an all time high. The Pandemic gave people time off and there realizing that's more valuable than a 15-20 dollar job. Other developed countries have a way better standard of living cuz businesses aren't tryna exploit there workers at every turn. Nobody feeling sorry for these businesses.

So how much should pizza makers get paid to live comfortably in Chicago? People keep bringing up living wage, what number is that? I'm thinking it's $60,000. So you'd have to pay pizza makers $30/hr which is on par with nursing and tradesman, both of which takes years of schooling and are high skilled.

What part of the supply side labor market do you not understand?

:jbhmm:

Unskilled laborers are worth whatever employers are willing to pay them.

If your competition is willing to pay more than what pizza man is willing to pay than the only way he will be able to compete is by paying more or settling for less experienced workers.

Economics is the study of choices people make under the conditions of scarcity.

You just sound like a clown who wants more for less. You also sound like a clown who can't hustle and never had business of any size in his life. Your low skill job belongs to college students while they persue greener pastures. If career restaurant workers want more money they can work more hours, get a new job or go work for a restaurant chain.

Maybe they need to challenge their aptitude and seek more. With 9 million jobs available and owners that can barely pay their bills in the US right now we'll probably see alot more closures as big fish takes little fish out.

The trend of not taking decent money for your age and level of skill is a mistep on the part of citizens.
Using the word hustle already shows how brainwashed you actually are :lolbron:

Dude would rather close shop and lose out on a 5k revenue day than pay his employees 5 dollars an hour more. Every business is different most business close because there's no more demand for there products/services not because there employees are making a livable wage. Stop tryna sound like you know what your talking bout cuz you obviously don't.

its a tough job you're always on your feet, sucking up to garbage ass customers, even if your shift is over you gotta stay clean up etc.

not worth it to me
This is almost a derail but humans are built for being on their feet for extended periods of time. It's only Americans, that have grown used to sitting down for most of the day, that complain about being on their feet for a long time

He took a 5k hit instead of paying 1 dollar more? :mjlol:
that's part of it...the greedy people like that business owner aren't paying more simply out of the principle of it. not because of the economics of it all. there's a certain psychological issue they have with being "above" people that make low wages. this shyt petty. :mjlol:
