Chipotle will probably start having locations without a dining area, completely move to online/mobile orders. I'm sure they did more than well during the pandemic where they experimented with this.This is why I ask what the plan is, because the corporations are definitely trying to figure it out without the employee..
The only issue for them is how they built the vast majority of their locations without this in mind and without a drive through lane. If all the orders are online, they probably would be able to scale even more with smaller locations with a window, less employees needed, and honestly, less stress of dealing with patrons directly all day long. They were ready for the pandemic because they're app was great before it, and they didn't miss a beat when dining in was banned everywhere.
