this thread which is already being discussed in another thread is stanning... what is a stan? look at fakkets like @ISOMELO and @mobbinfms

you behavin like a lite version of them... its unbecoming loc.
Now, I dont like naS, but I can certainly discuss why when people make threads about son.

Come on man lol. I told you I didn't know it was discussed in another thread. Plus, whether like it or not, it deserved it's own thread. Infact this deserves and should be stickied. This good for Hip Hop.

You can do what you like, of course, but don't expect people to not talk about what they want to talk about. I'm more than happy for you to continue dissing Nas as it keeps bumping the thread and would definitely like more people to see this.

We can discuss it though.
MED in here adding shyt thats not even bein addressed by illmatic. He quotin simple ass lyrics, then adding commentary thats vastly more intelligent than the lyrics. What happened is MED never got to do this with Pac so what he's doing is attributing Pac attributes to naS then dikkriding. He's looking for a hero and its embarrassing.

He's not actually. I'm aware of MED's loquacious style and am intelligent enough to understand exactly and completely what he's saying and he's actually just expanding on what Nas said. Like for example the environment upon where a lyric comes from or who it relates too. Like his brother in prison who fukks wit Nas shyt. That buck that bought a bottle could of struck the lotto is an ill line, cause it's concise, it rhymes and flows well with the multi and it says something more than just the line, saying the money wasting on alcohol and damaging self could be used more productively, even possibly hit the lotto, at least there's a chance, however small it may be, for some hope, rather than just fukk up your liver with NO chance, hope or dreams. Also shows a certain sense of desperation in the thinking and sadness/stagnation in the life being lived. Similar to Pac when he said they got money for wars but can't feed the poor, it's simple but it's effective. MED is a Pac fan no doubt, he has a book about Pac, any good anyone? Been wanting to read that too. It's not true what your saying though, your letting the Nas hatred blind you. Why do you HATE Nas so much? Like is it that deep? Do you even know him like that? I don't get the excessiveness of the hate lol. Anyway, by your theory, what about all the audience members? Regardless of how much you hate Nas, it won't change the facts how he's views and respected, as much as you don't like it or disagree. My opinion is that it's very well deserved artistically, I don't know him personally.

thats not a dope line and its fukkin stupid.

What naS is suggesting in that line is that he couldve substituted drinking for gambling. One vice for another. From my experience mufukkaz that buy 40's at the liquor store pick up a lotto ticket at the same time. The lotto aint a goddamn answer. Its a terrible line, and the fact that people think its intelligent is VERY troubling, and reinforces my observation that naS stans are lacking in the intelligence dept.

Comparing that to Pac's line is blasphemy. "They got money for wars but cant feed the poor" is an indictment on society and highlights the hypocrisy. The MED book about Pac he is trying to do the same thing he is doing with naS here, but Pac lyrics actually warrant it.

That was the point I was making, the DESPERATION in the line. Was like a symbol of hope, and it doesn't even have to be taken literally, it's the message, which is pretty much that buck you WASTED could be better used., the alcohol is pretty much only gonna harm, at least the lotto offers a chance and hope. It was about hopes and dreams, not substituting alcoholism for gambling lmao. Course the lotto isn't the answer, not at all, but the message that it could be used better is good. It makes someone who may be doing that possibly think, ohh maybe I could use the buck better, it's not a explicit directive of what to do or an action plan lol, just introspective.

I compared it in the sense it was simple but effective, not the content. I was listening to the 9t Wonder mix of 2nd Childhood earlier, did you not think the lyrics and ish were good on that?

But I'm saying that using that buck to buy a lotto ticket ISNT better. The fact that you think its better and naS thinks its better is problematic, especially since he's hocking Hennessey now. Its just not a good line and only highlights stupidity. Now, if he was trying to show stupidity in the hood, he did a good job. But thats not what MED is suggesting. I find the line dumb as fukk... this is comin from a nikka that drinks and gambles.

MED is looking for a rapper to latch onto, hes been doing it for years... since Pac aint here he's settling.

It probably is better, alcohol can do a lot of damage, the lotto in moderation isn't as bad. I do know someone who actually won the jackpot, you don't get that buying a bottle, not even that chance. Anyway it's just a thought, an introspective thought. MED is not a stupid man, whether you like him or not, I think he said a great deal of excellent things during the conversation. But we'll agree to disagree and keep it moving man lol.

I agree, I actually like MED and agree he is not stupid, and the things he is saying CAN be found in rap... Just not from the lyrics/artist he is/was quoting. He should latch onto a cat like Andre 3000 since Pac aint here. He actually raps about the commentary MED was giving here.

And no, the lottery is not better. A mufukka thats drinking out of desperation is trying to dull the pain of their experience. If he wastes the money on the lottery he still doesnt have the buck, nor is he getting the temporary relief he was seeking from the bottle.

Stupid fukk, Nas is not encouraging gambling. All the line means is better things could been have done with that dollar, you could have struck the lotto with that dollar that's just one of the things you could have done. Instead of saying fukk tomorrow look at life like their is light at the end of the tunnel.

It's funny how you talks about Nas and Hennessey, yet Pac was boosting Henny and Alize himself :camby:

MED sees something in Nas, not Andre 3000 :umad:
