if this is true...
honestly...I can see us being major players in revis talks,.
wed basically have 2 late first rounders and a shytload of later picks.

2 first rounders for a player coming off an ACL injury ?this years first and next years is probably more likely

2 first rounders for a player coming off an ACL injury ?![]()
what did you think he was going to cost?
Ill put it this way. I love revis no homo, and even though I prefer picks over players, I would have no problems doing that trade if revis was absolutely healthy. but, hes not and theres no telling what condition hes in.
theres also no telling what position well be in next year (if god forbid kaep, vd, staley or justin are out for long period of time), so Id rather keep the first rounder next year.
The biggest issue I see with a Revis to the Niners deal is the contract. Revis doesnt want to play for 6 mill a year and I dont think SF is in position to dole out a huge deal to a CB with all the young guys theyre going to have to pay eventually.
Kaep, Smith, Crabtree, Bowman will all be coming up soon.

bowman is signed long-term. we wont be able to keep all of those guys anyway. I do think crabs will stay here with kaep and will take a cut.

he got his money and hes really enjoying playing with kaep. kaep's will to win is contagious.Crabtree ain't taking a cut, yall struggled to sign him the first time
Id do it for a rental like Ive said before, but only one pick+ some shytty throw-inforgot bowman was re-upped
One stipulation is the Niners are obviously playing for a SB next year...I think that's what Deion did with Atlanta when he went to SF...then took on FA and got the enormous deal with Dallas.
Revis' ppl are even worse then Deions though lol....I just dont see him playing for 6 mill even with the opportunity to win. Would SF be willing to take on a rental though while giving up picks in the process?
