Smith is a starting QB. I can't call him good, though. He's too limited to be good. I think if he would actually grow a pair, he could be a much better QB. Maybe Reid will bring that out of him.

Pennington was terrible. Once the team was down you had zero shot of winning because of his lack of arm. His playoff performances were absolutely embarrassing.

You really cant be this dense. A qb that doesnt have the ability to stretch the field puts a tremendous strain on their defense. You cant expect an NFL defense to be perfect week in and week out. A Niners fan more than anyone should see that by now. Coaches game plan to score points, not sit on the ball and punt. Defenses can only make so many stops before they give up points in the league.

Again, please name these QB's or getting unfair raps for being dink and dunk QB's?

hes had as many game winning drivesin 5 years hes gone without injuries...as everyones favorite gunslinger favre from 04 to 08...so he could clearly put together a winning drive fine.

He definitely needs the pieces around him to succeed, but who doesn't though? I think he can certainly succeed on the Chiefs if they keep Bowe. That team seems tailor fit for him.

I think he's decent. Good is a stretch. There are many things he simply does not do that it's hard for me to say he's good. He is smart and tough for sure. Arm is meh...but the shoulder injury probably has a lot to do with it.

That said...he could have either floorished under Harbaugh or gotten benched/cut in year 3.
