your post makes zero sense. your high school never passing the ball has nothing to do with the artificial notion you have in your head about the qb being the biggest star of the offense.
there is no "way the game should be played". there is a way the game IS played.
like jim harbaugh says, the worst thing a qb can do is to turn the ball over. limiting mistakes is the #1 thing for the qbs. a qb who doesnt limit mistakes will never be a great qb.

Im skeptical too. Every big play he had in college he was standing wide open 40 yards down the field.
No one is trading a more than a 3rd for Smith.

that's part of why he got picked. He was wide open 40 yards down the field. There isn't a Jet on this team capable of doing that. They needed a deep threat and he can be that.

So basically Harbaugh went with a player with a stronger arm, better down field passer and higher upside.
If you're going to try and tell me Kaepernick doesnt take higher risk throws than Smith you are out of your mind. You dont even know what you're arguing anymore. One sentence your against down the field passing and referring it to something I "fap" to...to the reason Harbaugh making the switch was because Kaep throws the ball better down the field.

not really. when the Niners are ahead we play extremely conservative.
you most likely just watched the games where we actually fell behind and had to come back.
in games against rams, dolphins, cards...we played extremely conservative to the point where kaep was doing an alex impression.
again, kaep can do everything alex can do in terms of conservative playing.
if kaep was throwing picks left and right like cutler or something, wed prolly go back to smith.
