As I grew older I began to hate school and the school system more and more so I can relate. Going to college became more about making my parents happy instead of making me happy.

If you aren't passionate about something that specifically requires school, then I don't think you should go to college. :yeshrug:

Yoh dumb as hell.

This ain't 1970 where there are factory jobs.

You sound old and out of touch by forty plus years.

You motherfukkers on here miserable because y'all invest in a lie.

First off you supposed to go to school.
So if they ever open up the draft.
You not getting drafted.
Next we are black and need access.
to any and every real book and course work we can get.
College gives you that oppurtunity period.

Then MEN in general will tap out of religious institutions, out of colleges, and out of marriages. Higher prices doesnt mean men will adjust to hyperinflated nonsense, they simply tap out of it altogether.

Humanity isn't built to tolerate injustice, of any kind for extended periods of time,

This.

Gen Z saw their early millineal parents or late millineal elder siblings get completely fukked by the system. They did everything they were told to do by people they trusted and got fukked. A lot of these nikkas in here saying college is the answer aren't living in reality. I'm glad shyt worked out for them, but the majority of people are down bad out here, and men especially will check out before they keep playing a game designed to not let you win.

You got people saying masculinity isn't needed, men need to be attracted to lady boys, men have been told fathers aren't needed, etc etc. You're living under a rock if you can't see the myriad of reasons why young men are saying fukk it and just choosing to be 'lame' instead of slaving and toiling away for a system that constantly shyts on them.

I actually encourage all these young men to live for themselves and let this shyt crumble. One day this country will realize it made a terrible mistake with how it turned it's back on young men, you know the ones that built this country and got it to where it is now, until then live YOUR life lil bruh. Don't get married and don't have kids enjoy your life stress free.

If men, especially poor and working-class Black men "tap out" then folks shouldn't be surprised when race and class-based disparities increase. As the chart in the article shows upper middle class young white and Asian men are remaining in the game. And so, if you advocating tapping out, don't then turn around and complain about the lack of Black faces when you look at the racial make up of management.

College isn’t useless at all. It’s very much worth it, especially when you’re Black. It’s one of the most efficient vehicles for us to achieve social mobility. Me and a lot my nikkas graduated and immediately started making more money than our parents.

Most people who are super critical of college either don’t have a degree, or they didn’t do what they were supposed to do. They don’t tell you that there’s a ‘right’ way to do things. Folks go to some expensive private school with no scholarship and/or major in whatever with no plan. :francis:

You can’t major in some bullshyt with no plan. Even if you’re STEM, did you do an internship? What’s the job market like in your city? Did you do any projects?

Having a plan is more important than what your major is. You need to have an idea of what you’re gon do when you get out, especially if you not in something like Engineering. Networking is prolly the most important part of college. You’re paying for those opportunities and connections. If you intern and network, you’ll get a good job no matter what your major is.

The real problem with college is that the ridiculous cost combined with student loans make it predatory :francis: Teenagers generally aren’t mature or wise enough to make the best decisions financially. There ain’t any other situation someone with no money would be able to take out so much money with loans, but the government just lets this student loan shyt fly.
:francis: Then on top of that you’re forced to pay to take irrelevant classes
Tell me about it :shaq2:

Probably one of the more important pieces I've read recently. Finally had a publication willing to talk about an ugly truth that no one wants to put their hands on because it would peel back layers that destroy narratives. Colleges had been trending this way for some time. When I was in University, the male to female ratio had been 1:1 and by the time I graduated women had overtaken men in terms of total numbers. Is this an intended consequence of Title IX?

mine was 1:8. I had like 4-5 guys in a class. Grad school, I have 6 total guys in my program :mjlol:

Men see that shyt for the scam it mostly is

It’s not a scam. The government is the problem. If the government stopped provided student loans, college fees will drop back down to 10-20k over 4 years.

same with houses. Get the government backed loans out of the way and your 500k house will drop to 200k or below.

government messes up everything
