A lot of people don’t kno how diffrent la is from the Bay Area

Yeah no way in hell is the Bay faster than LA bruh. Only city I can think of that moves faster than LA is NYC bruh and I've been to most major cities in this country for work.

The Bay in general. My wife is from LA, but we went up to the bay to sight see and see some old friends of mine from a different life and she kept complaining about how slow and boring the Bay was to her. Said she couldn't wait to get back to LA, then back to Dallas.

I feel like they are “more in tuned” to their country side like Texas or Louisiana than us So Cal folk...

They do the dreads, grills, Buicks and slabs, like the south. They got “more” lingo too . From what I saw, they all about getting $$$ and pimping hoes.. used to hear “ all on a bytch” almost every day.. cool cats tho. Some of the realest nikkas I done met is from Richmond- MainLine Boyz and Oak Park FAB

LA has a spirit of rebellion and counter offense in the vein of community upliftment, as well. I really don't see this as something The Bay does better...

Most of the things guys are naming as positives for The Bay really are that, but aren't something they necessarily do better or at a bigger level than LA...

True. I should of said that California is underappeciated for its community level social justice involvement and grassroots activism which to this day is still reflected in our music. This thread was probably the wrong one to post that comment in. But anyways, yeah LA has that same spirit too with Nipsey probably being its most well known example.

The bay's activism has always been reflected in its music heavily not just with lyrics, but often with community leaders/personalities appearing on albums via intros and interludes. Off the top of my head i can name

No I wouldn't say that, but the atmosphere of the Bay reminds me of Texas or Louisiana. Laid back, but nikkas be grinding and hustling and with the shyts too.

LA is it's own little world, nobody acts quite like LA nikkas bruh. But my wife loves Dallas and never wants to move back to LA, as much as folks on the coli shyt on Dallas pretty much everyone who moves here never leaves and it is a low key GOAT tier US city.

I had a cousin who moved around foster homes alot when we where younger and he settled in the bay.

nikka grew up and popped up back to florida after hitchhiking and had a completely different slang than before.

On some E40/mozzy levels.
